I have a couple of fun projects for you today! Are you purchasing gift card holders around the holidays and paying way too much for them? You can make your own adorable gift card holders at home for a lot less. I’m sharing two gift card holders with you today that are easy and quick to make! I won’t share all of the details in this blog post but if you scroll to the bottom of the post, you can download the project tutorial which provides detailed instructions and photos.

I’d like to give a shout out to YouTuber Carrie Rhoades. Carrie shared these gift card holders on her channel and I’m sharing two of these with you. Just so you are aware, I have changed the measurements on both holders that I’m sharing with you today.

Beary Cute Pocket Tag Gift Card Holder

This gift card holder has a cute tag that gets inserted into a decorated pocket. This one is very simple to make! I used the Beary Cute Bundle and the Beary Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create this gift card holder. Mini Glue Dots are used to secure the gift card to the tag.

In the photo above the tag is inserted into the pocket. A length of White Iridescent Ribbon was tied at the top of the tag to make it easy to pull out. Use the back of the tag to write a personal message to the recipient!

Even the back is decorated! This is one BEARY CUTE gift tag holder! Oh, and don’t forget the embellishments on the front of the card holder!

Merriest Trees Tri-Fold Pop Up Gift Card Holder

The tri-fold pop up gift card holder is a little more involved to create…but not difficult at all! You can see how I make these card holders by clicking here. This link will take you to my recorded Facebook Live video.

I used the Merriest Trees Bundle and the Merry Bold & Bright 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create this gift card holder. The front of the holder is decorated with a die cut tree complete with garland using the Merriest Trees Dies. A Linen Thread bow adorns the top of this adorable Christmas Tree.

As the name implies, the gift card pops up when you open the tri-fold…pretty cool! The gift card holder also includes a place to write a personal message to the recipient as well!

And of course the back of the gift card holder is decorated.

For the Tri-Fold Pop Up Gift Card Holder, you will need to use Mini Glue Dots to close the front flap, or use 3/8″ Velcro dots to keep the flap closed. Velcro dots can be found on Amazon.com and are relatively inexpensive.
