Stampin’ Up! Inked Botanicals Diagonal Joy Fold Thank You Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

It’s time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme this month is “Fun Fold” and we can interpret this any way that we’d like. I know you will see a lot of fun creations from my team members in the Hop today! Let’s go!

I used the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set to create my card for today. This Diagonal Joy Fold card is easy to create, shows off the pretty Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper and uses minimal supplies!

The Diagonal Joy Fold consists of two card bases – both in Lost Lagoon cardstock.

The larger card base measures 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and is scored at 4-1/4″. The front of this card base was cut on the diagonal. I chose a piece of the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper in a plaid print and this paper was also cut on the diagonal as was the Pretty Peacock mat. This unit was then adhered to the card front of the larger card base. A second floral print from the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper was added to the right inside panel of the large card base.

The smaller card base measures 8″ x 3″ and was scored at 4″. The inside panel was stamped with the parallel lines image from the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set and this image was stamped in Pool Party ink. I then partially stamped the tall flower image in Lost Lagoon ink over the already stamped lines. The panel was matted to a piece of Pretty Peacock and adhered to the inside of the card base.

The panel for the front of the small card base was stamped with the same parallel line image in Pool Party ink and was stamped across the entire panel. I then stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink on the right side of the panel, then stamped the tall flower image diagonally across the panel in Lost Lagoon ink. The panel was adhered to a mat in Pretty Peacock and adhered to the front of the small card base.

To attach the two card bases together, I opened up the large card base. Glue was applied to the back of the small card base and the small card base was adhered to the inside panel of the larger card base. The small card base was centered from left to right and top to bottom. When the card unit is closed the diagonal flap of the large card base sits inside of the smaller card base!

I added a double Linen Thread bow to the card front and several Iridescent Pastel Gems. The envelope front was stamped with the same parallel lines and flower images and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was added to the envelope flap to finish the card.
