Happy Friday! I hope you all had an enjoyable week and found some time to craft!
If you enjoy a little sparkle on your holiday cards…this one is for you! I used the Spruced Up Stamp Set and Spruced Up Outlines Dies along with several specialty papers to create this card. Specifically, the Lights Aglow 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Real Red & White Glimmer Paper…so pretty!
Today’s card was inspired by a team member of mine, Tarabeth. She recently made a beautiful card using some of Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful specialty and glimmer papers and she reminded me that I hadn’t pulled out my pretty paper yet! I started with a Thick Basic White cardstock and adhered a piece of the Lights Aglow paper to the card front. I chose the black bokeh print paper. The second to largest circle die from the Layering Circles Dies was used to die cut a circle from the red glimmer paper. I also die cut a small tree from the Spruced Up Outlines Dies in red glimmer paper, and a large tree in white glimmer paper. As you can see the dies from the Spruced Up Outlines Dies cuts not only the inside image, but an outside, or outline image as well…very cool!
I pulled out my package of the Wonderful Snowflakes which are irredescent and added a snowflake to the red glitter circle, using glue to adhere the snowflake. A piece of Real Red ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack was adhered to the back side of the Lights Aglow panel vertically and secured with a little Stampin’ Seal. The red glitter circle and snowflake unit were adhered to the panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Next, the red and white glitter trees were arranged on the right lower side of the panel. The solid red tree and the red outline tree were adhered to the panel using glue and the white glitter solid tree was adhered over top using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I chose a greeting from the Window Wishes Stamp Set and stamped this on a small piece of white cardstock. The sentiment label was trimmed down and I cut a banner on the right side of the sentiment label. The label was then adhered to the panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The bokeh panel was then adhered to the card front. I added some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front for some more sparkle! Oh, and I colored Wink of Stella on the Real Red Ribbon also.
For the inside white panel, I stamped one of the trees from the Spruced Up Stamp Set in Real Red ink and stamped an additional greeting in Memento ink – also from the Window Wishes Stamp Set. I then adhered the panel to a Real Red mat and adhered this unit to the inside of the card.
Of course, the envelope was decorated, too! The same tree was stamped in Real Red ink on the lower front of the envelope and a piece of coordinating Lights Aglow paper was adhered to the envelope flap then fussy cut around the flap.
Whew! This seems like a lot but in all honesty this card came together very quickly. I hope you enjoyed today’s creation and give it a try!
