Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints Double Time Thank You Card

I’m continuing with simple stamping for today’s card. This card, though, uses the Double Time technique. It looks like it might be complicated…but it’s not! It’s actually quite easy and provides a “Wow” factor!

I started with two white panels, one measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ and one measuring 4″ x 3″. I used a temporary adhesive on the smaller panel and adhered it to the larger panel – making sure the smaller panel is centered on the larger panel.

Three different greenery images from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set were used and I chose a different color ink for each of the stamps. I began by stamping the Gingko image in Soft Succulent ink and stamped this image twice across both of the temporarily adhered white panels. Next, I used the Fern image and stamped this image in Evening Evergreen ink across both of the panels. Lastly, I used the Goldenrod image and stamped this image in Crushed Curry ink across both of the panels. The Fern and Goldenrod images were stamped again to fill in any open spaces on the panels.

The white stamped panels were separated and matted using Evening Evergreen cardstock. I determined the orientation of the larger panel, and it was adhered to the card front using glue. The smaller panel was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and I was careful to line up the stamped images when placing this panel on the card front.

The Stylish Shapes Dies were used to die cut two circles – a small one in Basic White Cardstock and a larger circle from Evening Evergreen cardstock. The “Thank you” sentiment from the Cup of Tea Stamp Set was stamped onto the white circle and this circle was adhered to the Evening Evergreen circle. A small amount of Stampin’ Seal was used on the center, smaller panel and I adhered a short length of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon – folding the ribbon in half. The sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed over top of the ribbon.

The same stamps from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set and the same ink colors were used to stamp these images onto the card’s inside panel as well as the envelope front and envelope flap.

I love the look of the Double Time technique. The images from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set were perfect for this technique. I hope you’ll give it a try!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints Birthday Card

Today’s card uses just three colors – black, white and Tahitian Tide, to make a bold statement for this quick and easy card.

I created a circle template using the largest die from the Layering Circles Dies and used this template to blend Tahitian Tide ink on the front card panel. Partial circles were also ink blended for the inside panel as well as the envelope front and envelope flap. I then added the Ginko image from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set for all of the circles using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

The sentiments on the card front came from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set…I just love the font on these sentiments!

Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the front panel vertically, then this panel was matted with a piece of Tahitian Tide and popped up on the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three blue Glossy Dots following the bottom of the circle finish off the card.

Nature’s Prints in Blue and Gray / June Host Code for Customers / Last Chance & Retiring Items-Get Them Before They are Gone!

nature’s prints in blue and gray

I made another card using the Nature’s Prints Bundle because I just couldn’t help myself. Today’s all occasion card is a study in white, blue and gray. The card front panel was embossed using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder then Gray Granite ink was blended over the surface in a random pattern – where some areas are darker than others. I was going for the weathered look.

A piece of Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon stretches across the lower third of the card front, then a circle frame was created using two circles from the Layering Circles Dies from a piece of the Sun Prints DSP. I then die cut a wreath from the Natural Print Dies in white and adhered that to the circle frame and this unit was then adhered over the ribbon onto the card front.

Several sprigs in white and Night of Navy were then tucked under the sentiment label to add a little extra umph! A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels finish off the card front.
