Stampin’ Up! Tone-on-Tone Nature’s Harvest Thinking of You Card

I created today’s tone-on-tone card using Gray Granite cardstock and the pretty Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper along with images from the Nature’s Harvest Bundle, the Honeybee Blooms Dies and the Layering Circles Dies. Oh, and some pretty Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon, too!

On a panel of Gray Granite cardstock measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ I wrapped a length of Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the panel and secured the ends to the back of the panel using Tear & Tape. The ribbon was positioned approximately 2-1/4″ from the top of the panel.

Next, from a panel of the Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ I carefully cut out a large circle (Layering Circles Dies) and the long, slender sentiment label (Harvest Dies) from the center of the Rose Gold panel. I set aside the circle and sentiment label for now. The ribbon-wrapped Gray Granite panel was adhered to the Rose Gold Metallic panel, then this unit was adhered to a card base in Gray Granite. Even though I used the the Rose Gold panel for some die cutting, the Gray Granite panel nicely covers up the die cut areas and makes good use of this pretty paper!

From the Harvest Dies, I die cut a branch from Gray Granite cardstock and a flower sprig from Early Espresso cardstock. Using the Honeybee Blooms Dies, I die cut a grass from Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. These elements were arranged onto the Rose Gold circle previously cut and adhered using liquid glue. This circle unit was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and positioned over the strip of shimmer ribbon.

Onto a scrap of Gray Granite cardstock I stamped the “Sending healing thoughts…” sentiment in Early Espresso ink. The sentiment label was die cut using the label die from the Harvest Dies set. The previously cut Rose Gold sentiment label was adhered to the back of the Gray Granite label, leaving a reveal of the Rose Gold label along the bottom. Here’s a closer look…

On the inside panel I stamped the watercolor image from the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set in Gray Granite ink onto the lower right corner. I then stamped the small flower image from the same stamp set in Early Espresso ink overtop of the watercolor stamped area. The inside panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same watercolor and small flower images were stamped onto the envelope front. A small bow from the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon was added to the stems of the branch, flower sprig and grass on the card front using a Mini Glue Dot to finish off the card.

I love the elegant look of a tone-on-tone card and this pretty Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper adds just the right amount of sparkle to dress up the card!
