Stampin’ Up! Best Butterflies Any Occasion Card

Happy Friday! This cheerful Any Occasion card was created using the Best Butterflies Bundle (stamps and dies), the Hive 3D Embossing Folder and the Dandy Designs 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. You can earn the Hive 3D Embossing Folder and the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper for free during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying order(s).

I started off by embossing a white panel using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. A length of Glittered Organdy Ribbon was wrapped around the bottom of the panel and the ends were secured to the back of the card using small pieces of Tear & Tape. The embossed panel was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the Best Butterflies Stamp Set, I stamped a sentiment onto a white piece of cardstock measuring 3-1/4″ x 3/4″ using Fresh Freesia ink and this sentiment label was adhered to the upper left of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Four (4) butterflies were die cut using the small butterfly die from the Build a Butterfly Dies set. I selected three different patterns from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper pack for die cutting – one pattern in Balmy Blue, one in Fresh Freesia and one in Coastal Cabana…so pretty! I brushed the die cut butterflies with Wink of Stella to give them a little sparkle. Three of the butterflies were adhered to the card front diagonally from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. The butterfly on the left slightly overlaps the sentiment label and the butterfly on the right sits on top of the ribbon strip.

A small bow was tied using the Glittered Organdy Ribbon and adhered on top of the ribbon strip using a Mini Glue Dot.

The fourth die cut butterfly was adhered to the inside panel. This panel was then matted to a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock and this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

To finish the card I adhered several Opal Rounds to the card front. A piece of coordinating Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today! Apologies for the photos…it is difficult to photograph sparkle and white…and I’m not a professional photographer! Suffice to say this is a cheerful card that will bring a smile to the recipient’s face!

Stampin’ Up! Around The Bend Fancy Flora Thank You Card

I create cards just about every day of the week and I have to say that this card might be one of my top favorites! I used the Around The Bend Bundle (stamps and dies), the Something Fancy Dies, and the Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to create today’s card.

I first chose a piece of paper from the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper pack…it was a tough choice because all of the papers in this pack are just breathtaking! Each piece of paper is like a 6″ x 6″ piece of art! Actually, they are pieces of art that have been captured onto paper! I chose a pattern with the colors Evening Evergreen, Daffodil Delight, and Soft Sea Foam.

From Evening Evergreen cardstock, I used the curved decorative leaf die from the Around The Bend Dies set to cut out the vertical piece for my card. This was adhered to the left side of the DSP panel, and I then adhered this unit to the card front. While die cutting this curved piece I was able to also fit one of the small leaf sprig dies into the same piece of cardstock and cut this at the same time.

The “hello there” sentiment was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink onto a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock, and I used the smallest rectangular shaped die from the Something Fancy Dies set to cut out the sentiment.

Using liquid glue, I adhered the leaf sprig on the lower right corner of the card front after checking placement of the sentiment label over top of the sprig. I used a short length of gold Simply Elegant Trim and folded the trim in half and adhered the trim ends over the stem of the leaf sprig using Stampin’ Seal. The sentiment label was then adhered to the lower right corner of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Several gold Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins were added to the card front. The gold of the trim and the sequins help to compliment the Daffodil Delight tones in the DSP.

On the inside panel, I stamped an additional sentiment from the Around The Bend Stamp Set using Evening Evergreen ink. I used one of the small leaf stamps from the set and stamped the leaf over top of the sentiment using Soft Sea Foam ink. The decorative corner stamp was used to stamp this design onto the lower right corner of the panel and then the panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

The same decorative corner design was also stamped onto the envelope front using Soft Sea Foam ink. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope.

I will be playing with the Around The Bend Bundle some more…I can picture a lot of different designs using this bundle. And I hope the Something Fancy Dies stick around for a good while because this set contains some great sentiment labels and tags!

Stampin’ Up! Greatest Journey Motivational Card

This is one of those cards where the Designer Series Paper does all of the heavy lifting! I created this motivational card using the Greatest Journey Stamps and Dies and the Enjoy the Journey 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. This card requires some very easy fussy cutting and I love how the mountains really pop against the starry night sky!

I started with a card base in Highland Heather. From a panel of the designer series paper in Highland Heather showing a mountain scene, I used my paper snips to trim around the tops of the mountains. I saved the paper I cut away…I’ll use this later for our sentiment label.

Using a second piece of designer series paper – this one with the Starry Sky, I adhered this panel to a white mat, leaving a 1/16″ reveal. I then adhered the fussy cut mountain scene on top of the same white panel, again making sure that I was leaving a 1/16″ reveal. This unit was then adhered to the card front.

From the paper I cut away from the mountain scene, I cut a sentiment label measuring 2-1/2″ x 1-1/8″. The paper is primarily Highland Heather in color. I stamped a sentiment from the Greatest Journey Stamp Set onto the label, then adhered the label to a white mat. The sentiment label was adhered to the lower right corner of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a scrap piece of Highland Heather cardstock, I stamped the pine tree image in Starry Sky ink and used the coordinating die from the Greatest Journey Dies set to cut the image out. This image was adhered to the left of the sentiment label using a combination of liquid glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

An additional sentiment was stamped on the inside panel and the same pine tree image was stamped in the lower left corner of the panel – both in Starry Sky ink. The inside panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

A piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap. Several white Opaque Adhesive-backed Gems were added to the “sky” portion of the card front and a purple gem was added to the sentiment label to finish off the card.

Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Park Congratulations Card

Happy Friday! I created this card using the Sentimental Park Bundle (stamps and dies) and the pretty Regency Park 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. This card was created for a special friend who will be retiring in a few short months! Yay for being retired!

I started off by adhering a panel of the Regency Park Designer Series Paper in a bold flower print to a card base of Balmy Blue. I used a second piece of paper from the Regency Park DSP pack to create a banner on the card front – this paper is in coordinating Mango Melody.

Using the dies from the Sentimental Park Dies set, I cut out a number of small flowers – both solid images and outline images -in white, Balmy Blue and Mango Melody. I stacked some of the flowers and adhered the pieces together. Some of the smaller flowers stand by themselves.

The Sentimental Park Dies set has several sentiment labels that you can use. I cut out the large, ornate sentiment label in Basic White cardstock and layered a second sentiment label in white on top of the larger label. The cool thing about the large, ornate label is that the die cuts open slots on the right and left side so that the smaller sentiment label can be slipped into these slots. This creates a pretty layered look! The sentiment was stamped in Mango Melody ink onto the smaller label and the two labels were adhered together.

Before adhering the sentiment label to the card front, I adhered several of the flowers around the right and left sides of the ornate label. I then adhered the sentiment label to the card front, and over top of the banner, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Several of the remaining die cut flowers were tucked under and around the sentiment label.

I used a length of Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon and folded the ribbon in half, securing the pieces together with a Mini Glue Dot. I applied a second Mini Glue Dot to the back of the ribbon and tucked the ribbon under the sentiment label and allowed the ribbon ends to hang down. So pretty!

For the inside panel, I stamped an additional sentiment from the Sentimental Park Stamp Set in Mango Melody ink and used the two-step flower stamps from the same set to stamp flowers along the bottom of the panel. This panel was then adhered to a mat in Mango Melody and this unit was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same two-step flower stamps were used to stamp onto the lower left of the envelope front in Mango Melody ink. I added a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed away the excess paper from the flap. To finish off the card, I added several Adhesive-backed Milky Dots in blue to several of the flower centers on the card front.

Stampin’ Up! Adorable Owls Birthday or Celebration Card

I used the Adorable Owls Stamp Set and the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set along with some ink blending to create this fun birthday or celebration card. The owl on this card is flying in front of the moon! How fun!

I started with a white panel measuring 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ and cut a second panel measuring the same. On one of the panels, I die cut a circle towards the upper right of the panel using the second to largest circle die from the Layering Circles Dies set. I used the negative of this die cut and layered it on top of the white panel and secured two of the sides with Post It tape. I then used a blending brush and blended Daffodil Delight ink over the circle cut out. The top mask was removed, and I then temporarily adhered the die cut circle over the area I had just ink blended and used a separate blending brush to blend Orchid Oasis ink over the remaining portion of the panel. This creates a moon in the night sky! Using the same blending brush I used to blend Orchid Oasis ink with, I lightly blended some of the residue ink over the moon area just to give it some dimension.

Using the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set, I stamped the tree limb in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the ink blended panel so that the tree limb overlaps the moon slightly. The panel was matted to a piece of black cardstock then adhered to the card base in Daffodil Delight.

The flying owl from the Adorable Owls Stamp Set was stamped onto a scrap piece of white cardstock and I used Stampin’ Blends in Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green to color in the owl. I then fussy cut the owl. I adhered the owl to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and positioned the owl just above the tree branch and partially over the moon.

A sentiment from the Adorable Owls Stamp Set was stamped onto a scrap piece of white cardstock and I used the second to smallest circle die from the Layering Circles Dies set to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and was positioned on the lower right of the card. I added a small Black & White Gingham Ribbon bow just above the sentiment label and a few Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots were added around the moon (our night sky needed stars after all!).

On the inside panel and envelope front, the tree branch was stamped using Memento ink as was the flying owl. I used Stampin’ Blends to color in the tree branch and owl. The inside panel was adhered to a black mat then adhered to the inside of the card.

The flying owl was stamped onto the envelope flap and colored in using Stampin’ Blends to complete the card!

This card would make a great birthday or celebration card for adults and children! So cute! You can download, save and print a pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

Stampin’ Up! Cozy & Bright Christmas Cards from the Kits Collection

I got around to assembling the Cozy & Bright cards from the kit I had ordered some time ago and wanted to share with you. How beautiful are these cards? There are a total of 12 cards in the kit with matching envelopes and a number of sentiments to choose from.

Of course, everything that is needed to assemble the kit is included! If you are still in need of Christmas cards, why not order a kit or two. Assembling these cards would make a great family activity! I will be sending my cards off to a hospital for the chronically ill here in my state.

Stampin’ Up! Window Wishes Holiday Card – Simple and Quick Stamping!

The Window Wishes Stamp Set and a few embellishments were used to create this simple and quick Christmas card. The Balmy Blue combined with Early Espresso make for a dreamy looking card! If you’re looking for a quick card that you can make multiples of, this card design can be massed produced in no time at all!

On a white panel, I stamped the two snow hills in Balmy Blue ink. The tree and sentiments were added to the panel using Early Espresso ink. I then stamped the house in blue and the roof in Early Espresso. I purposely left a gap between the house and roof to give the impression of trim on the house, but you can definitely line these stamps up to meet if you’d like. Snow was repeatedly stamped around the images using Balmy Blue ink.

The inside panel was stamped with an additional sentiment, and I stamped another tree and snow on this panel as well before adding the panel to the inside of the card. The same images were repeated on the envelope front and envelope flap.

To finish off the card I tied a small bow using Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim and placed the bow to the left of the sentiment on the lower portion of the card front. The tree was decorated with Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.

Quick and easy! I just love the contrast between the Balmy Blue and Early Espresso.

Stampin’ Up! Brightest Glow Glimmer Christmas Card

I pulled out the Brightest Glow Stamp Set, Labels Aglow Dies, Real Red & White 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper and my Layering Circles Dies to create this simple Christmas Card full of sparkle!

Using the large, detailed circle die from the Labels Aglow Dies set I die cut a panel in Very Vanilla cardstock. This panel was then adhered to a slightly larger panel of Real Red Glimmer Paper, then this unit was adhered to the card front.

A circle was die cut using the small circle die from the Labels Aglow Dies set in Real Red Glimmer paper. A second circle was die cut from Very Vanilla cardstock by combining the second to smallest circle from the Layering Circles Dies set and the large snowflake die from the Labels Aglow Dies set to create a snowflake pattern within the circle. The Very Vanilla circle was adhered to the Real Red Glimmer Paper circle and this unit was added to the center of the card front. So far there is LOTS of sparkle going on!

A sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set was stamped onto a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock and I used the narrow label die from the Labels Aglow Dies set to die cut. The sentiment label was adhered to a strip of Real Red Glimmer Paper, and I used my snips to trim around the sentiment label, leaving a narrow border of the Glimmer Paper showing. The sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, and placed just below the detailed die cut area of the card.

For the inside of the card, I stamped an additional sentiment and again used the larger snowflake die from the Labels Aglow Dies set to die cut a snowflake onto the lower right corner of the panel. This panel was adhered to a mat in Real Red, then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

A piece of Real Red Glimmer Paper was added to the envelope flap and the excess trimmed away from the flap. A bow in Very Vanilla and Gold Satin Edged Ribbon and some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the card front to finish off the card.

The Very Vanilla combined with the Real Red Glimmer Paper makes for an elegant looking card! This card would be stunning by swapping out the Very Vanilla cardstock for Evening Evergreen or Night of Navy and using the White Glimmer Paper instead of the Red.

Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles Thinking of You Card

The Sending Smiles Stamp Set and Sending Dies combined with the texture that the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder provides makes for a cheerful and uplifting card!

I started with a Thick Basic White cardstock card base. A Basic White panel was embossed using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder and this panel was adhered to a Real Red mat, then this unit was adhered to the card front.

Using scraps of white cardstock I stamped multiple flowers in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red inks and multiple flower stems were stamped in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.

The large “Sending” sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and die cut using the coordinating die from the Sending Dies set. The sentiment label was adhered to the top left of the embossed panel. The flowers were adhered to their stems, and I played around with the arrangement of the flowers on the card front. Once I was satisfied with the arrangement, I adhered the flowers to the embossed panel. One of the Daisey flowers was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The additional sentiment “Sunshine to brighten your day” was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and die cut using the coordinating die from the Sending Dies set. The sentiment label was adhered over the flower stems at the bottom right of the embossed panel.

The smaller flowers and their stems were stamped on the inside panel as well as the envelope front. I used the multi-flower stamp to stamp these smaller flowers across the envelope flap to finish off the card.

I love the cheerfulness and upbeat feel of the images in the Sending Smiles Set!
