Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest & Gingham Cottage Friendship Card

Some of my fondest memories as a child were driving vacations that me and my parents took through the New England states in the Fall to view the foliage. My favorite state for seeing all of the glorious colors of Fall was Vermont – all those beautiful red maples…oh, and maple syrup of course! I think that’s why Fall is my favorite season of the year.

Today’s card was created using the Hello Harvest Bundle, Gingham Cottage 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Rustic Harvest 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

The banner sentiment, pumpkin and flower spray from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set were stamped in Memento ink then colored using a variety of Stampin’ Blends then die cut using the coordinating dies from the Rustic Pumpkin Dies set.

I piece of the Gingham Cottage DSP was matted to a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock then adhered to the card front. I pulled in a strip of the black and white acorn print from the Rustic Harvest DSP and adhered this to the card front. A square was cut from black cardstock using the Stylish Shapes Dies and another piece of the black and white acorn print DSP was adhered to the square. I turned the square on-point (diamond shape) and decorated it with the previously colored pumpkin and flower spray.

The decorated diamond was then adhered over the DSP strip to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment label was adhered to the top of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensional and a linen thread bow, and several Rustic Metallic Dots were added to finish off the card front. You might notice that the right and left of the sentiment banner was also colored in just to give it a different look.

For the inside of the card a strip of the black and white acorn DSP was added to a Very Vanilla panel, then an additional sentiment was stamped onto this panel. The panel was adhered to a Pumpkin Pie mat. The same flower spray was stamped and colored on the envelope front and a piece of coordinating Gingham Cottage DSP adorns the envelope flap.

This completes today’s card. Nothing says Fall like an orange pumpkin and pretty fall flowers! This design would also make a great Fall birthday card!

Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest Friendship Card

Happy Monday and happy first day of August! I can’t believe we’re into August already. That just means that Fall is not far away! Speaking of Fall, I have a Fall themed card for you today.

For today’s card I paired the Hello Harvest Stamp Set, Rustic Pumpkin Dies, and a piece of the Rings of Love 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create this Fall themed friendship card. The Rings of Love DSP is a Sale-A-Bration item that you can get with a qualifying order through August 31, or while supplies last!

I started with a card base in Pumpkin Pie cardstock (appropriate for Fall, I think), then added a panel of the Rings of Love DSP. The Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder was used to emboss a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, then I used the 3rd largest die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. This was added to the card front on top of the DSP panel.

Using the leaf stamp from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set, I stamped three leaves in Cherry Cobbler and three in Crushed Curry (more Fall colors!). I stamped the pumpkin image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink then colored the pumpkin using Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Crushed Curry in Cherry Cobbler ink. Coordinating dies from the Rustic Pumpkin Dies set were used to die cut all of the images, including the sentiment label.

The pumpkin and leaves were dry fit on the front of the card. The leaves were arranged around the pumpkin on the sides and bottom and adhered with glue. The Pumpkin was adhered in the center of the leaf arrangement using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment was adhered towards the bottom of the card front, slightly overlapping the Cherry Cobbler embossed panel.

A 3/4″ strip of coordinating DSP was adhered to the inside card panel along with a die cut leaf. Coordinating DSP also adorns the envelope flap and more leaves were stamped onto the envelope front.

To finish off today’s card I tied a small double bow using twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack.

Can you smell the falling leaves, and the fresh crisp air? Ahhhh!

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Harvest Friendship Card

I have another Fall themed card for you today. I used stamps from the Hello Harvest stamp set but this time I paired the images with the beautiful Rustic Harvest 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

The reverse images of the Rustic Harvest DSP, or the “B” side as I like to call it, are patterns in black and white. One of these patterns are of leaves. I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color in the images of the leaves on this DSP which makes for a beautiful background for the card front.

The card sits on a Crumb Cake base, the colored DSP was added, then a strip of coordinating DSP was added on top of that. The leaf image from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set was stamped onto a piece of basic white cardstock, as was the sentiment, then I used a sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink to antique the edges of these stamped images. The single leaf, stamped in Cajun Craze, and the sentiment label were matted and added to the card front. A double linen bow finishes off the card. A piece of coordinating and colored DSP was added to the envelope flap and the leaf image was stamped on the inside panel several times as well as the envelope front.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest Friendship Card

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! I enjoy the rich colors of autumn and everything that goes along with this time of year – the falling leaves, pumpkin spice, and cool, crisp days! What’s your favorite thing about autumn? Let me know in the comments below!

Today’s card is a sneak peek and quick and simple to make using the Hello Harvest Stamp Set and Rustic Pumpkin Dies. These items will be available in the new July-December Mini Catalog in just a few days…yay!

I started with a Cherry Cobbler card base and stamped the leaf image from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set in the same color to create a subtle tone-on-tone background for the card front. I cut the large and small textured pumpkins in Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the Rustic Pumpkin Dies and added a pumpkin stump and vines in Mossy Meadow. The dies for the pumpkins are textured and beautiful!

A piece of Natural Finish Ribbon was placed on the card front diagonally and the pumpkin was placed over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A sentiment from the stamp set was used and stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on white cardstock with a mat of Mossy Meadow and adhered to the card. The leaf image was second-generation stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on the inside panel as well as the envelope front and envelope flap to complete the card.
