It’s time for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We have a sketch challenge for the Hop today and I’m looking forward to seeing what my team members have created! Here’s the sketch challenge.
After seeing the sketch, I knew I wanted to use the Forever Fern Stamp Set and the Forever Flourishing Dies. I paired these with the beautiful Pretty Prints 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create this lovely anniversary card. My husband and I will be celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary today so you can guess who will be receiving this card!
I used a card base in Calypso Coral and chose the Calypso Coral print from the Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper and matted this to a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock then adhered this to the card front.
I stamped several leaf and berry images in Calypso Coral and Sweet Sorbet inks and die cut using the coordinating dies from the Forever Flourishing Dies set. I also die cut several of the large leaf sprays in Basic White cardstock.
The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark ink onto a Calypso Coral sentiment label, and I sprinkled white embossing powder over the stamped sentiment and heat set.
I arranged the die cut leaf and berry pieces on the card front to determine placement, then adhered the pieces to the card front. The sentiment label was adhered to the center of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The berry image from the Forever Fern Stamp Set as well as the leaf image were stamped on the inside panel and this panel was adhered to a mat in Sweet Sorbet, and then adhered to the inside of the card. The leaf and berry images were also stamped onto the envelope front.
A piece of coordinating Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper was added to the envelope flap and I trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope. Lastly, I added multiple Heart Pearls to the card front.
This completes my card. I hope you like it! The Forever Fern Stamp Set is one of my favorites and the images are suitable for either masculine or feminine cards as is the Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper.
