Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets Easel Birthday Card

The Framed Florets Stamp Set, Framed Florets Dies and the Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper were used to create this pretty birthday card. There is nothing better than an easel card to display gorgeous designer series paper!

A piece of the Evening Evergreen gingham print paper was adhered to the card front. An ornate frame was die cut in Basic White using the Framed Florets Dies. The sentiment “Wishes for a beautiful birthday” from the Framed Florets Stamp Set was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink onto the frame insert. Both the ornate frame and the insert were then adhered to the card front.

A second frame from the Framed Florets Dies was die cut in Polished Pink and this frame was adhered to the front of the white frame. From the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper, I die cut one of the two-flower images and a multi flower image was fussy cut. These flowers were used to decorate the frame and I used a combination of glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere these around the frame. The card front was then attached to the card base.

The small flower print from the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper was chosen for the inside of the card. A small strip of the gingham print was added to a white panel and this panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

A second sentiment label was created using a sentiment from the Framed Florets Stamp Set and one of the banner dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. A banner was die cut in Basic White and a second banner was cut in Polished Pink which was used as a mat. This sentiment label acts as the easel “stop” and was adhered to the inside of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment label was placed towards the bottom of the card and centered.

On the envelope front, I stamped the two-flower image from the Framed Florets Stamp Set in Polished Pink and used Stampin’ Blends in Petal Pink, Polished Pink and Soft Succulent to color in the image. A piece of coordinating DSP was added to the envelope flap, and I trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope. Several pink Glossy Dots were added to the card front to complete the card.

The pretty oval frames and paper from the Fitting Florets Collection make for such beautiful cards! I hope you’ll give this one a try!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Holiday Card

Today’s card was created using the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set, Reindeer Dies and some ink blending! This is a fun winter scene complete with moon beams and big, fat snowflakes…you know, the kind that fall from the sky just before the snow fall ends!

I can’t take credit for the moon beam idea as I saw this shared on a social media platform, but credit was not given to the original creator, so credit goes to whoever thought of this!

I started off with a white panel and used scissors to cut a gentle snow “hill” into a straight piece of masking paper then adhered this towards the bottom of the card – about 2/3 of the way down. I used a second piece of masking paper with a straight edge and positioned it in the upper right corner and angled it to the left to create the first moon beam. I used a blending brush and first blended Balmy Blue ink in the unmasked area, then came back in with Starry Sky ink and concentrated this ink around the edge of the masking paper. I repositioned the piece of masking paper, keeping the right side tight to the top right of the panel and dropping the left side about 3/4″ below the first inked area and repeated the ink blending steps until the top portion of the panel was covered with moon beams!

Next, I used white pigment ink and a small amount of water and dropped in snowflakes onto the sky. The little bit of water mixed with the pigment ink reacted with the Starry Sky ink and caused the snowflakes to spread slightly. I rather like this look as it reminds me of big fluffy snowflakes!

The masking paper covering the snow hill was removed and I lightly blended Starry Sky ink across the top of the snow hill. I used the same piece of masking paper for the snow hill and flipped it upside down and created a second snow hill below the first – blending ink on this hill and making this one darker than the first.

I die cut two pine trees in Evening Evergreen cardstock from the Reindeer Dies set and cut one of the trees down by about half. The pine trees were adhered to the card front as was a die cut reindeer in Early Espresso. I used white pigment ink and painted the ink across the top of the reindeer to give the impression of the moon shining off of him. The pine trees also were painted with white ink to give the impression of snow. The reindeer was also adhered to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment for the front of the card onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and die cut using the 3rd smallest die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. (If you don’t own this die set…you really should get it…it comes in so handy!) The sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel was then adhered to a mat in Starry Sky then this unit was adhered to the card front.

An additional sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card as was the pine tree image from the Peaceful Deer stamp set. The same pine tree image was also stamped onto the envelope front and envelope flap. Rhinestone Basic Jewels were adhered to the card front to finish off the card.

If you would like to recreate this card you can access the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.

Have a wonderful day!

Stampin’ Up! Campology Masculine Birthday Card with Watercolor Background

Happy Friday! My cards this week have focused on simple stamping, so I thought I’d mix things up a little bit for today. I created a mountain landscape watercolor and added the beautiful pine tree image from the Campology Stamp Set to create today’s card. This makes for a great masculine card!

I started off with a panel of Fluid 100 Watercolor paper and used Starry Sky ink for the mountains and a combination of Early Espresso and Starry Sky for the ground. The pine tree image from the Campology Stamp Set was stamped in Evening Evergreen and I painted in some additional color using Evening Evergreen to darken some areas of the pine trees. A weak mixture of Early Espresso was used to paint in the tree trunks. A sentiment from the Heron Habitat Stamp Set was used on the card front.

An additional sentiment from the Heron Habitat Stamp Set was used on the inside panel and I stamped the pine tree image from the Campology Stamp Set as well before adhering this panel to the inside of the card.

The same pine tree image was stamped onto the envelope front and envelope flap. I used Stampin’ Blends in Soft Succulent and Crumb Cake to add a bit more color to the stamped images.

I love painting watercolor backgrounds and I hope you’ll give this one a try. You’ll find instructions on how to create this card on the linked pdf document. Click on the image below to access the pdf tutorial.

Wishing you an enjoyable weekend! I’ll be back on Monday with another card project. Unit then, stay crafty!

Stampin’ Up! Fitting Florets Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I can’t wait to see what my team members have created this week! We have a sketch challenge for the Hop today.

I couldn’t help myself! I pulled out the Framed Florets Bundle and the gorgeous Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create a birthday card for today’s blog hop. Here it is.

I started off with a card base in Night of Navy. A panel from the beautiful Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper in a Soft Succulent print was added to a mat of Gold Foil and this was added to the card front. The two-flower image from the Framed Florets Stamp Set was stamped onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends in Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Soft Succulent and So Saffron. These colors work so well together! The flowers were die cut using the coordinating die from the Framed Florets Dies set.

Several leaves and florets were die cut using Gold Foil and Night of Navy cardstock. These components were arranged around a die cut circle of Evening Evergreen topped with a circle using the Soft Succulent print from the Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. The circle unit was added to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The die cut flowers were also added to the circle using a combination of Stampin’ Dimensionals and liquid adhesive. While the ovals provided in the Framed Florets Dies set are gorgeous, the die cut flowers and leaves look equally amazing around the circle focal point.

I stamped the sentiment onto a Night of Navy sentiment label using Versamark ink then dusted gold embossing powder over the sentiment and heat set using my heat tool. The sentiment label was matted to a piece of Gold Foil and adhered to the lower portion of the circle unit on the card front.

An additional sentiment was stamped onto the inside panel in Night of Navy ink, and I stamped the multi-leaf image in the upper left and lower right of this panel, also using Night of Navy ink. This same image was stamped onto the envelope front. The inside panel was adhered to a mat in Gold Foil and then adhered to the inside of the card.

To finish off the card I added a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope.

I hope you like my card for today. I think the gold touches against the Night of Navy, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen really add a touch of elegance!

You can download a pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below. You can find a list of products used to create this card towards the bottom of this post.

On with the hop! If you click on the “Next” button below, you’ll be taken to the top of the Blog list and Amy Koenders blog. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to check out all of the blogs in the Hop today and all of the wonderful creativeness! Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek! Fitting Florets Tri-Fold Accordion Christmas Card

Here is a sneak peek of the Fitting Florets Collection which will be available for customer orders on November 1. This collection is quickly becoming a favorite of demonstrators and I know our customers are going to love it! For today’s card I used the Framed Florets Stamp Set, Framed Florets Dies, Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Framed & Festive Stamp Set.

I used a Tri-Fold Accordion Fun Fold that I found on a video put out by Tina Zinck with The Serene Stamper a few years ago. I made a modification on the card base size for my card. This card can be put together in a number of different ways and can even serve as a gift card holder so it’s very versatile!

I chose a card base in Soft Succulent and picked a pretty print from the Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper in Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and white to cover three of the four panels on the card.

I die cut the large, ornate frame from the Framed Florets Dies set in Basic White. I also die cut two of the large sprigs in white and two small open flowers in Soft Succulent.

A portion of the ornate frame was adhered to the first and second panel of the card front, and I stamped the sentiment from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set was stamped onto the oval insert to the frame and adhered as well. The sprigs and leaves were arranged on the left side of the frame and adhered to the card front. A double bow using White Crinkle Ribbon was adhered to the left side of the frame and a Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirl was added to the card front.

An additional sentiment from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set was stamped onto the inside panel. The small leaf image from the Framed Florets Stamp Set was stamped into all four corners of this panel and colored in using a Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend. I then adhered this panel to the inside of the card.

The envelope was decorated with the same leaf image and colored in, and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was added to the envelope flap.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek of the Fitting Florets Collection. You’ll want to add these items to your stamping supplies for sure! To view the Fitting Florets flyer, detailing all of the products, click here. To learn more about the Fitting Florets Collection, watch the video below.
