Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight Celebrate You Card

Today’s card is a CASE from the upcoming 2023-2024 Annual Catalog! How soft and pretty is this card? I used the Dainty Delight Bundle, Stylish Shapes Dies, Vellum Basics 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I also used several of the new colors and one returning color.

I adhered a piece of Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper to a card base in Berry Burst. The paper I chose is an ombre print in a shade of Berry Burst. I then stamped the large floral image onto white cardstock using Old Olive ink. To keep the look soft, I second generation stamped the image. I used the light shades of Bubble Bath and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to color the image then used the coordinating die from the Dainty Delight Dies to cut out the image.

Using the Dainty Delight Dies I cut a variety of flowers and stems. I used the largest square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a square from the Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper. The vellum square was adhered to the lower third of the card front using small drops of glue towards the center of the square. The flowers and stems were arranged onto the vellum square and adhered down. One of the daisies was adhered using a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The “Celebrate you” sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Old Olive cardstock and I used one of the sentiment label dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the image. The sentiment label was adhered towards the bottom of the card front at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A small white Baker’s Twine bow was added next to the sentiment label.

On the inside panel, I second generation stamped the same large floral image onto the lower portion of the panel and colored in the image. The same image was partially stamped onto the envelope front as well. The inside panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

A piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap. Multiple Loose Frosted Dots in pink and yellow were added to the card front.

Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Are you ready to hop around and see some great projects?

I created my card for today using the Dainty Delight Stamp Set, Dainty Delight Dies, Framed Florets Dies and paper from Country Floral Lane 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

We have a color challenge for today’s Hop! I used all five of the colors in my project.

I started off with a card base in Mint Macaron measuring 7-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ which was scored at 3-1/4″. The front of this card is only 3-1/4″ wide compared to the standard 4-1/4″, allowing about an inch of the inside of the card to peek through!

The Petal Pink print from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper pack was chosen to cover the front and inside left panel of the card. I cut these panels to 5-3/8″ x 3-1/8″ and adhered the panels into place. A strip of paper from the Country Floral Lane pack was cut to 5-3/8″ x 7/8″ and was glued to the inside right panel of the card and peeks through to the front of the card.

One of the oval frames from the Framed Florets Dies was used to cut out an frame and insert using Basic White cardstock. Using the larger foral image from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set, I stamped this image onto the frame insert using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then used Stampin’ Blends in Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow and Balmy Blue to color in the image. The frame was adhered to the card front and positioned towards the top of the card to allow for a sentiment label to sit below the frame. The colored insert was adhered to the inside of this frame.

Using small scraps of Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Balmy Blue and Mossy Meadow cardstock I die cut a multiple flowers and leaves using dies from the Dainty Delight Dies set. The flowers were first dry fit around the oval frame, then adhered to the upper right and lower left of the frame. The small flowers in Sweet Sorbet were popped up on the frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then tucked in a few Mossy Meadow leaves around the flowers.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock measuring 2-3/4″ x 3/4″ using Mint Macaron ink. The sentiment was stamped towards the right side and I cut a banner end on the left side of the label. I then adhered the sentiment label to the card front lining up the right edge of the label with the right edge of the card front.

One of the floral images was stamped onto the inside panel using Memento ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends in Sweet Sorbet and Mossy Meadow. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card. The same stamp was used to stamp onto the front of the envelope front and colored in with Sweet Sorbet and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends.

To finish off the card, I adhered Rhinestones to the flower centers on the card front. A Dragonfly Trinket was added to the oval insert and double bow using white Baker’s Twine was added to the upper left of the oval frame on the card front. A coordinating piece of Petal Pink designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope.

The delicate flower images in the Dainty Delight Bundle work well with the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper and I love how all of the colors in the challenge work together – providing a soft, romantic look to the card. I hope you enjoyed my card for the Hop today…I had fun creating it for you!

Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight All Occasion Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I can’t wait to see what my team members have created for today’s Hop.

I used the Dainty Delight Stamp Set, Dainty Delight Dies from the upcoming January-April 2023 Mini Catalog along with the Dainty Flowers 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper from the upcoming Sale-a-bration catalog to create my card.

We have a color challenge for today’s Hop. I chose Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow and Granny Apple Green as my colors.

I started off with a card base in Mossy Meadow. The card base was cut to 7-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″. This makes the card front 3-1/4″. This is a fun design that allows some designer series paper to show through from the inside of the card!

A panel of the Dainty Flowers 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper in a soft Blushing Bride print was added to a white mat, then adhered to the card front. The DSP panel measures 5-1/4″ x 3″ and the white mat measures 5-3/8″ x 3-1/8″.

I then used the Framed Florets Dies to die cut an oval frame and insert from white cardstock. For the insert, I used a blending brush to blend Granny Apple Green ink over the entire insert, concentrating the ink more towards the outer edges of the oval. I then used one of the flower stamps from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set and stamped this image twice on the ink blended oval. The stamp I chose reminds me of the flower called Queen Anne’s Lace. Queen Anne’s Lace is commonly found along the roadside in my area of the US.

The white oval frame was adhered to the card front and centered from top to bottom and left to right. I then adhered the ink blended insert oval inside of the frame.

Using the Dainty Delight Dies I die cut a large half-oval flower sprig from Mossy Meadow cardstock and three daisies from Blushing Bride cardstock. The daisy centers were cut from Calypso Coral cardstock. I also cut four small leaves in Granny Apple Green. I first adhered the large half-oval sprig to the card front on the left side of the oval frame. The daisy centers were adhered to their flowers and the daisies were then adhered around the right side of the oval frame. The small leaves in Granny Apple Green were tucked under the daisies.

A strip of the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper in a Mossy Meadow print was added to the white inside panel and this unit was adhered to the inside of the card. The DSP strip measures 5-1/4″ x 1-1/8″ and the inside panel measures 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″. This card was designed so that the outside and inside DSP panels and mats match up to each other. There are no sentiments on this card as this an All-Occasion card.

Using the same blending brush, I blended Granny Apple Green onto the lower right corner of the envelope front and stamped the Queen Anne’s Lace flower over the ink blended area. The flower was also stamped in Granny Apple Green ink. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the envelope flap.

To the card front I added a bow tied from Glittered Organdy Ribbon and several pink Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins.

There is something about a soft pink and greens that just go together…don’t you think? I hope you enjoyed my card for the Hop! Thanks so much for stopping by! To download, save and print the pdf tutorial for this card, click on the image below.
