Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Gift Topper – An Alternate to Gift Bows

I was wrapping my friends birthday gift and I wanted to do something different on the front of the package – something other than a bow or ribbon. I pulled out some white cardstock and the Cheerful Daisies Dies along with the Stylish Shapes Dies.

The wrapping paper was my own – not a Stampin’ Up! product – with a white background and silver and gold hearts. I coordinated my materials to match the wrapping paper.

I used the largest square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set to cut out the base for my topper from white cardstock. Using dies from the Cheerful Daisies Dies set, I cut out the largest image of the three daisies and leaves as well as the three detailed daisies from white cardstock. I used a pair of paper snips to cut apart the daisies and leaves from the largest die cut. Then adhered the detailed daisies to the solid image daisies.

Flower centers were cut from Distressed Gold 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper and adhered to the daisy centers. Two leaf sprigs were cut from Silver Foil 12″ x 12″ Specialty Pack paper.

The daisies were adhered to the die cut square using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tucked the silver leaf sprigs under the left and right side of the largest daisy. A bow was tied from Gold Trim and added above the large daisy. I left the bow ends long so that they would hang down on either side of the flowers. Multiple silver Festive Pearls were added around the flowers. The topper was adhered to the wrapped gift using Stampin’ Dimensionals since I thought it might be easier to remove by the recipient.

This is a great alternative to the traditional bow and ribbon to top off a gift and the colors can be coordinate to match your wrapping paper! Fun!

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies All Occasion Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that my team members have created for the Hop this week…I know their projects will be beautiful as always! If you are hopping over from Tara’s blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by!

I couldn’t help myself! I used the beautiful Cheerful Daisies Bundle, Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper and the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder to create today’s card. The Cheerful Daisies Bundle is so versatile…I can’t seem to stay away from this Suite of products!

We have a color challenge for the Hop today. I used all five colors on my card.

I started off with a standard A2 card base in Wild Wheat and added a panel of Moody Mauve paper from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper pack to the card front. I used the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a panel in Boho Blue measuring 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″.

I used the Cheerful Daisies Dies to die cut the large 3-flower image from Wild Wheat cardstock. I also die cut the detailed petal images – also in Wild Wheat. The flower centers were die cut from Copper Clay. The largest flower center was first stamped in Copper Clay ink before die cutting. The two smaller flower centers were dotted with a Copper Clay Stampin’ Blend to give them a little dimension. I first adhered the flower centers to each of the three flowers, then adhered the detailed die cut petals to each flower. This unit was then adhered to the Boho Blue embossed panel.

Before adhering the embossed panel and flowers to the card front, I used a small amount of Stampin’ Seal on the back of the embossed panel and wrapped Linen Thread around the panel three times, securing the ends to the back of the panel. The embossed flower panel was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tucked in three of the leaf sprigs in Copper Clay and Pebbled Path around the flowers. A double Linen Thread bow was tied to the wrapped thread. This is an all-occasion card…so no sentiments adorn the card.

For the inside panel I simply stamped the half daisy in Wild Wheat and added a Copper Clay flower center. The panel was adhered to a mat in Moody Mauve then adhered to the inside of t he card.

The same half daisy was stamped onto the envelope front and I added a piece of the Moody Mauve paper from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper pack to the envelope flap.

This completes the card! You can download, save and print a copy of the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Friendship Card

I couldn’t resist sharing another card with you using the Cheerful Daisies Bundle and the Fresh As A Daisy 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper – this time I’m sharing a friendship card!

I began by adhering a floral patterned paper from the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper and adhered this to the front of a card base in Pebbled Path. I used the 4th largest Deckled Rectangle Die to die cut a frame from a second piece of the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper – this one in a Copper Clay print. I saved the Deckled Rectangle cut out for a future project and adhered the frame piece from the die cut on top of the floral piece of paper.

From Lemon Lolly cardstock, I die cut the outline shapes of three daisies – one large daisy and two half daisies. I also cut the coordinating “detail” shapes to fit inside of the outline shapes from Basic White cardstock. Before adhering the pieces together I used a sponge dauber to blend Crushed Curry ink around the perimeter of the outline daisy shapes just to give them a bit more depth. I die cut one large and two small daisy centers from Lemon Lolly cardstock and I blended Crushed Curry ink around the centers using a sponge dauber. The flowers were then assembled. I also cut four of the greenery sprigs – two in Lemon Lolly, one in Garden Green and one in Pebbled Path.

The three assembled Daisies were adhered to the lower left of the frame on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tucked in the four greenery sprigs around the Daisies and used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card.

A sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock using Crushed Curry ink and I used the sentiment label die from the Cheerful Daisies Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment label was adhered to the upper right of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel several medium-sized Daisies were stamped in Lemon Lolly ink with the centers stamped in C rushed Curry ink. The panel was adhered to a mat in Lemon Lolly then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

A single Daisy was stamped onto the envelope front and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope. This completes today’s card! I think the Cheerful Daisies Bundle and the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper is going to be quite popular! I know it already is with Demonstrators!
