Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest Thank You Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! Our theme this month is “Giving Thanks”. We can interpret this theme any way that we want. Our Krew has lots of talented team members participating this month so be sure to check out their Hop posts! You can find navigation links further down on this page.

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year and apples always make me think of the Fall harvest and giving thanks for all that we have. So my card today is Fall themed featuring the Apple Harvest Stamp Set, and Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper colored in with rich, Fall color.

I started off by coloring two pieces of the Perfectly Penciled 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper – one for the card front and one for the envelope flap. The paper is black and white, and I used Stampin’ Blends in Cajun Craze and So Saffron to color in the leaves on the paper.

The DSP panel for the front of the card was adhered to a mat in Cajun Craze, then this unit was adhered to a So Saffron card base. I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut a circle in Cajun Craze, then adhered a stamped, colored and die cut apple to this circle. I also die cut several leaves and colored them in using Cajun Craze and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends. Two of the leaves were adhered to either side of the apple stem and the apple was adhered to the die cut circle using Stampin’ Blends.

I also used a So Saffron Stampin Blend to color in a length of Black & White Gingham Ribbon and tied a small bow which was attached to the top of the circle using a Mini Glue Dot.

A sentiment from the Apple Harvest Stamp Set was stamped onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock using Cajun Craze ink. I used the smallest banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment label was attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and a placed a die cut and colored leaf to the right of the sentiment label. An amber gem was added to the left side of the sentiment label.

An additional sentiment was stamped on the inside panel from the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set then the panel was adhered to a Cajun Craze mat and this unit was attached to the inside of the card.

To finish off the card, the crosshatch image from the Apple Harvest Stamp Set was stamped onto the envelope front in So Saffron ink, and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope front and trimmed to finish off the envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles Thinking of You Card

The Sending Smiles Stamp Set and Sending Dies combined with the texture that the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder provides makes for a cheerful and uplifting card!

I started with a Thick Basic White cardstock card base. A Basic White panel was embossed using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder and this panel was adhered to a Real Red mat, then this unit was adhered to the card front.

Using scraps of white cardstock I stamped multiple flowers in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red inks and multiple flower stems were stamped in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.

The large “Sending” sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and die cut using the coordinating die from the Sending Dies set. The sentiment label was adhered to the top left of the embossed panel. The flowers were adhered to their stems, and I played around with the arrangement of the flowers on the card front. Once I was satisfied with the arrangement, I adhered the flowers to the embossed panel. One of the Daisey flowers was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The additional sentiment “Sunshine to brighten your day” was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and die cut using the coordinating die from the Sending Dies set. The sentiment label was adhered over the flower stems at the bottom right of the embossed panel.

The smaller flowers and their stems were stamped on the inside panel as well as the envelope front. I used the multi-flower stamp to stamp these smaller flowers across the envelope flap to finish off the card.

I love the cheerfulness and upbeat feel of the images in the Sending Smiles Set!

Stampin’ Up! Kindest Gnomes Holiday Card

Happy Friday! It has been windy and rainy here on the east coast for most of the week with some almost winter-like temperatures! I’m ready to return to Fall weather now…thank you very much!

I can’t stop creating cards using the Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set, Gnomes Dies and Storybook Gnomes 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper! The images are so cheerful and fun to play with!

Several techniques were used to create today’s card – some fussy cutting and ink blending. While Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point aren’t traditional Christmas colors, they sure do create a beautiful winter scene!

I started off with a card base in Pool Party, followed by a mat in Coastal Cabana. A piece of the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper in a Pacific Point snowflake pattern was used for the sky and adhered to the card front. A piece of white glimmer paper was used as a snowbank, and a snowbank was hand cut and adhered to the card front. A number of Christmas trees were cut from one of the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper pack as well as a moose and fox.

Fussy cut Christmas trees were adhered to the card front and the bottoms of the trees were tucked under the snowbank. Using the Gnomes Dies, I die cut and assembled the pieces for the gnome and adhered the gnome to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A fussy cut moose and fox were also added to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A portion of the fussy cut fox was glued where the fox overlapped with the gnome.

A sentiment from the Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set was used on the sentiment label and the label was matted with a piece of Pool Party cardstock and adhered to the top left of the card front. A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the card front to complete the front of the card.

Using a piece of scrap paper, I cut another snowbank and used the negative piece of this scrap paper as a mask and blended pool party ink on the bottom of the inside white panel and the bottom of the envelope front. Two additional fussy cut Christmas trees were added to the snowbank for the inside panel. This panel was then adhered to a Coastal Cabana mat, then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

I finished off the envelope by adding a piece of coordinating DSP to the envelope flap and this completes the card! How fun is this winter scene? I highly recommend that you grab this suite of products to create your own fun cards!

Have a fantastic weekend and stay crafty!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Mixed Media Friendship Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We have a theme challenge for our Hop today. Be sure to check out all of the Blog Hop posts we have for you! I can’t wait to see what my team members have created! Here is the challenge for today’s Blog Hop:

I am thankful for so many things – a loving family, good friends and a good life. The thing that keeps me going every day (my fuel) though, is being able to look out into the world and see the beauty around me – the sun, birds, trees and flowers. I chose the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set for my card today…it’s one of my favorites and the images are gorgeous!

I chose a mixed media approach and used ink, Stampin’ Blends and Watercolor Pencils to complete the card. I even did a little bit of pen work on the purple coneflowers on the front of the card. The card is simple in its design and is meant to let the flowers really shine.

The largest die from the Fabulous Frames Dies set was used to cut out the center panel. I then stamped the image of the coneflowers from the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set onto the panel using Crumb Cake ink. The flowers and stems were first colored in using Stampin’ Blends in So Saffron, Fresh Freesia and Old Olive to establish a base color. I then came back with watercolor pencils in Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Gorgeous Grape, Early Espresso and Basic Black and focused on capturing realistic details, shadow and light. The watercolor pencils were used simply as colored pencils (no water added) and were kept extra sharp in order to create thin, darker lines where needed.

After coloring of the flowers was completed, I used a blending brush and lightly blended in some sky around the flowers using Balmy Blue ink. The colored panel was then mounted to a slightly larger Basic White panel and I used the Fabulous Frames Dies to cut out four photo corners in Basic Black cardstock.

The assembled panels were added to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. An oval panel was cut using the Fabulous Frames Dies again and I used only the insert to the frame. A greeting was stamped from the Heron Habitat Stamp Set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I piece of Old Olive Twill Ribbon was added onto the top corner of the colored panel and the sentiment was adhered over top of the ribbon at an angle.

The smaller flower image from the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set was stamped on a white inside panel and I used the same Stampin’ Blends and watercolor pencils to color in the image. Balmy Blue ink was blended around the flowers and the panel was adhered to the inside of the card. No sentiment was stamped on the inside card panel.

Using the patterned stamp from the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set, I repeatedly stamped this image using Old Olive ink across the envelope front and envelope flap.

I hope you like my card for today and you’ll give it a try. The images from the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set are beautiful all on their own, but you can take the images to the next level if this is something that you enjoy doing.

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate With Tags Easy Birthday Card

Use the Celebrate With Tags Stamp Set and Celebrations Tag Dies along with the 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to create a quick and simple birthday card!

The 2022-2024 In Colors go great together! I started with a card base in Parakeet Party and added a panel in a Sweet Sorbet polka dot pattern to the card front. Several balloons were stamped across the top of a white panel in Parakeet Party, Orchid Oasis and Sweet Sorbet inks, and then a band of Starry Sky DSP was added across the panel.

A sentiment from the Celebrate With Tags Stamp Set was stamped onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut using the label die in the Celebrations Tag Dies set. The sentiment label was matted with a piece of Parakeet Party cardstock and adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A double bow was tied using a Parakeet Party twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine pack and adhered to the left of the sentiment label.

An additional greeting and two balloons were stamped on the inside panel and the panel was adhered to the inside of the card. Balloons were also stamped on the envelope front and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was added to the envelope flap.

Easy and quick! You can watch a Facebook Live card demonstration on Inky Bee Stamper’s page at 1 pm Eastern today.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes Holiday Card

I had so much fun creating this holiday card for you today! The Sweet Candy Canes Bundle, Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder (and dies) and the Sweetest Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper were used to create the card. Oh, and I’m in love with the Metallic Mesh Ribbon! It’s so light weight and sheer and perfect for this card!

The card base is in Garden Green, and I added a red and white polka dot print panel from the Sweetest Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper pack to the front of the card.

A piece of Garden Green cardstock was then embossed using the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. I then used the detailed outline die that comes with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder to die cut the detailed frame. The die used to cut the center sentiment label was used to die cut a piece of silver foil from the Silver Foil 12″ x 12″ Specialty Pack and this die cut rectangle was adhered to the center of the Garden Green embossed and die cut frame.

Okay, here’s the cool part! The candy canes were die cut using the two dies from the Candy Canes Dies set from a piece of paper from the Sweetest Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper! I love when Stampin’ Up! gives us the option to die cut images directly from the designer series paper! Two red and white candy canes were die cut from the DSP. the candy canes were crossed and adhered together with a small drop of glue, then adhered to the center of the Garden Green embossed and die cut frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using a scrap of Basic White cardstock I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink, then die cut the sentiment using the die which has two holes on either side. This die is actually made to fit over a real candy cane but I’m using the holes on either side of the sentiment label to weave some of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon through the holes. The sentiment label was adhered over the bottom of the crossed candy canes then the ribbon was lightly wrapped to the back side of the Garden green die cut frame and adhered with a small amount of Stampin’ Seal.

The Garden Green die cut frame was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied a bow from the Metallic Mesh Ribbon and secured the bow underneath the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside panel, I stamped a sentiment from the Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set in Real Red ink. I also used the mistletoe greenery stamp to stamp mistletoe on the lower right and upper left corners of the panel using Garden Green ink. The same stamp was used to stamp mistletoe on the lower front of the envelope. A piece of the red and white polka dot designer series paper was adhered to the envelope front and I fussy cut around the flap to finish off the envelope.

This bright and cheerful card is sure to put a smile on the recipient’s face! This card was simple to make…I hope you give it a try!

You can view, download and print the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

If you were unable to join the Inkin’ Krew World Card Making Day event, or you didn’t catch all of the presentations, you can go back to the Inkin’ Krew Group page on Facebook and watch or re-watch the presentations. Click here to go to the Group page now.

I’ve entered this card in the Tic Tac Toe Challenge 181 and chose the top row across – Leaves, Ribbon, Autumn Colors. Here is this week’s challenge board:

I made this book fold Thanksgiving card using the beautiful Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set, the Country Wreaths Dies, and the Gingham Cottage 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. I used Fall colors for my card and check out all the dimension on the wreath, which is of course the focal point of the card!

I started off with a card base in Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I cut several panels from the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper to fit the front of the card, then matted these panels to Real Red cardstock then adhered them to the card front.

Using scraps of cardstock in fall colors, I stamped the three-leaf image from the Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set multiple times, matching the ink color to the scraps of cardstock. I die cut multiple leaves and some greenery sprigs using coordinating dies from the Country Wreaths Dies set. I also die cut a wreath in Evening Evergreen which was used as my base for the leaves.

I began adhering the leaves to the die cut wreath until the wreath was full. The wreath was then adhered to a white die cut square which was matted to a Brushed Metallic Cardstock in copper (more rich Fall color!). This unit was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A bow in Faux Suede Trim was added to the top of the wreath and I added several Brushed Metallic Dots in copper around the wreath. An additional piece of Faux Suede Trim was wrapped around the book binding portion of the card and tied in a knot.

An additional sentiment was stamped on the inside panel which came from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set. I also used the greenery stamp from the Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set and stamped this in the lower right and upper right corners of the panel. The panel was then adhered to a mat in Real Red cardstock then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

The envelope got some love, too! The envelope front was also decorated with stamped greenery and I added a piece of coordinating Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap and fussy cut around the flap to finish off the envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Harvest Thanksgiving Card

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has enjoyed a great and productive week!

Tomorrow is our day…Woo hoo! Saturday, October 1 is World Card Making Day. You’ll want to check out the information below, so you don’t miss out on any of the fun! It’s going to be GREAT! Imagine an entire day of crafting!

Today’s Thanksgiving card is all about the beautiful Rustic Harvest 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper! It’s gorgeous!

I started off with a card base in Basic Black cardstock. I adhered a piece of the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper in the pumpkin print to a Crushed Curry cardstock mat then adhered this unit to the card front. I cut a piece of the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper from the Crushed Curry print to 4-3/4″ x 2″, then cut a “V” on one end to form a banner. This DSP banner was then adhered to the top of the card front, lining up with the pumpkin print paper.

Using the Painted Pheasant Stamp Set, I stamped the sentiment “Happy Thanksgiving” to a Basic White sentiment label in Crushed Curry, then adhered the sentiment label to a Basic Black mat. The sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and centered on the card front.

I used the grass stamp from the Painted Pheasant Stamp Set to stamp the grass several times onto a white inside panel. This panel was matted to a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock then adhered to the inside of the card. I chose not to stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card. A sentiment can always be added later.

The same grass image from the Painted Pheasant Stamp Set was stamped onto the lower corner of the envelope front and I added a piece of the pumpkin print Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap – fussy cutting around the flap to finish off the envelope.

To finish off the card front I tied a double bow using Linen Thread and adhered the bow to the top center of the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot. Two amber gems from the Leaf Label & Amber Gem Combo Pack were added to either side of the sentiment label.

This card came together so quickly, and the beautiful designer series paper makes for a lovely and simple Thanksgiving card that anyone would love to receive! Change up the sentiment on the front of the card and this would also make a perfect Fall birthday card, get well card or thinking of your card for either male or female!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Lights Holiday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! It’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop and I’m looking forward to seeing what my team members have created! This week we have a sketch challenge. I used the Christmas Lights Bundle, Brightest Glow Stamp Set and Wintry 3D Embossing Folders for my card today. Here’s the sketch challenge.

I selected Soft Sea Foam for the card base. I used the Deckled Rectangles Dies to die cut a Basic White panel, then embossed the panel in the snowflake pattern from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders. This panel was then adhered to the card front. Using the outline and detailed Christmas Tree dies, I die cut the tree in Mint Macaron cardstock.

To add a little extra something to the Christmas Tree, I wove some silver Simply Elegant Trim into the tree, using the die cut holes in the areas that look like strings of lights. The trim ends were secured to the back of the card using a small amount of Stampin’ Seal.

Several small stars were die cut from silver foil from the Silver Foil 12″ x 12″ Specialty Pack and the stars were used to decorate the tree along with several Festive Pearls. The Christmas Tree was adhered over the embossed white panel on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A greeting was stamped onto a piece of Basic White cardstock in Mint Macaron ink and die cut using the smallest die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies set. The sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and a small amount of glue and slightly overlaps the white embossed panel.

An additional sentiment was stamped onto the inside panel, and I used the small snowflake from the Christmas Lights Stamp Set to stamp snowflakes along the bottom and side of the panel in Soft Sea Foam ink. The panel was matted to a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock and adhered to the inside of the card. The envelope front and envelope flap were finished off by stamping the small snowflake image in Soft Sea Foam ink.

The card was finished off with a double bow tied in silver Simply Elegant Trim and adhered to the left of the sentiment label. I love the combination of the Soft Sea Foam, white and Mint Macaron colors on this card – it gives it a soft, dreamy look.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! If you’d like to recreate this card all of the products used are listed further down the page. Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest Flip Flap Friendship Card

Today’s card uses the Hello Harvest Stamp Set, Rustic Pumpkin Dies, Gingham Cottage 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Rustic Harvest 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. Flip Flap cards consist of two card bases combined to make one card with multiple flaps.

I started by cutting the two card bases using Early Espresso cardstock. Essentially, the card consists of a standard size card base and a smaller card base. You can find detailed instructions, including measurements, in the linked pdf project sheet below.

I used a Mossy Meadow print from the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper pack and the Pumpkin Pie print from the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper pack to decorate the panels on both the insides and outsides of the card bases. I die cut the two embossed pumpkins from the Rustic Pumpkin Dies set in Very Vanilla cardstock along with two pumpkin stems and two pumpkin vines using Mossy Meadow cardstock. A blending brush was used to lightly blend Early Espresso ink over the die cut pumpkins, focusing on the embossed areas. I then adhered the pumpkin stems and pumpkin vines to the two pumpkins.

On the larger Gingham Cottage DSP panel, a sentiment was stamped directly onto the lower right corner of the panel in Early Espresso ink. I then second-generation stamped the leaf from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set over the sentiment – also in Early Espresso ink. On the lower left corner of this panel, I stamped the two leaves again in Early Espresso. The larger of the die cut pumpkins will be placed over these stamped leaves later on.

A Very Vanilla panel was used for the inside sentiment and the lower corner of this panel was decorated with the leaf image. All of the DSP panels were adhered to the card bases. Opening the larger card base, I adhered the small card base to the larger card base so that the spine of the smaller base was on the left (rather than the standard right position). The attached smaller card base was opened, and I attached the inside sentiment panel to the base. To form the flip flap, I first closed the left panel (of the large card base), then closed the right panel of the small card base.

The card front was decorated with the larger die cut pumpkin and was placed over the two stamped leaves on this panel. Opening the card flaps again, the tall, skinny pumpkin was adhered to the flap on the left then a contrasting DSP leaf was adhered to the front of the pumpkin. The remaining die cut DSP leaves were adhered to the right flap.

The leaf from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set was used to decorate the front of the envelope, and a piece of coordinating DSP was adhered to the envelope flap. I fussy cut around the flap to finish off the envelope.

I love fun folds and I think the flip flap fun fold is perfect for showing off beautiful DSP and die cuts! And it’s fun to say, “flip flap”!
