Happy Friday! I hope everyone has enjoyed a great week! It’s finally Fall here on the East Coast of the US. We enjoyed some rather warm temperatures earlier in the week – definitely not Fall like for November! But the weather has cooled off and it is officially feeling like Fall. Can you believe Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away…I don’t know where the time goes!
What is prettier than beautiful designer series paper? Why that would be designer series paper with gold sparkle! For today’s card I used the Lights Aglow 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper and a book fold to show of this gorgeous paper! Sentiments for the card are from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set.
I started off by matting the black and gold star pattern paper from the Lights Aglow pack to Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then adhered the units to the front of a Very Vanilla card base…perfect colors together!
Before adhering the “binding” portion of the book fold card base together, I added a length of Gold Shimmer Ribbon to this section and secured the ends using Stampin’ Seal on the inside of the card. The narrow “binding” section of the card was then adhered together using glue.
Next, I chose a Cherry Cobbler and gold piece of paper from the Lights Aglow Specialty Designer Series Paper with round and square patterns. I used the largest square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set to cut out a square from this paper.

The die cut square becomes the mat for the sentiment label which was cut from Very Vanilla cardstock using the 3rd largest die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. I stamped the “All is Merry & Bright” sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler ink onto the sentiment label. The sentiment label was matted to the die cut Cherry Cobbler square and adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the inside greeting in Cherry Cobbler ink and matted the panel in Cherry Cobbler then adhered this unit to the inside of the card.

A piece of the black and gold Lights Aglow Specialty Designer Series Paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope. A Gold Shimmer Ribbon bow was added to the card front and the card is complete!
This beautiful paper does all of the work and provides lots of sparkle!
