Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Calm & Quiet Get Well Card

How lovely is this serene pond scene? I used the Calm & Quiet Stamp Set to create this watercolor get well card. I used a number of new and returning ink colors to watercolor the image on this card to showcase the colors. Don’t have all of the new colors…that’s okay…use what you have and have fun with it!

I started by mixing a weak solution of Azure Afternoon ink with water to paint in the pond water. A weak solution of Lemon Lime Twist was painted onto the tree leaves and more Azure Afternoon was used to paint in the sky. Pecan Pie was used to paint the dock and Copper Clay was used to paint the chair. I used Pebbled Path to paint the rocks and Granny Apple Green was used to darken the tree leaves. Lost Lagoon was used to darken areas of the pond that were in shadow.

I added a sentiment from the Apple Harvest Stamp Set to the card front along with a Linen Bow. The watercolor panel was added to a Pretty Peacock mat, then this unit was adhered to the front of a Lost Lagoon card base.

For the inside panel I simply stamped a partial image of the pond scene using Smoky Slate ink. The panel was adhered to a Pretty Peacock mat, then adhered to the inside of the card. The same partial image was repeated for the envelope front.

To decorate the envelope flap I used a piece of Pretty Peacock diagonal striped paper from the Regals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack. The panel was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap.

Change up the sentiment on this card for almost any occasion. And, this would make a great “guy” card too!. The Calm & Quiet Stamp Set includes one other image of sea grass and seagulls…equally as pretty!
