Stampin’ Up! Fun Easter Bunny Easel Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and you know what that means! It’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Be sure to hop around to all of the blogs in the Hop today for some great inspiration!

I created this cute easel Easter card for today using the Easter Bunny Stamp Set and a pretty print from the Rain or Shine 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper.

We have a sketch challenge for today’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop and here it is…

The standing and sitting bunnies were stamped onto scraps of white cardstock and I used Stampin’ Blends to color in the images. I also stamped two carrots and colored in these images as well. I then used my paper snips to fussy cut the images. From a small strip of Old Olive cardstock I cut a gentle rolling hill.

A panel of flowered paper from the Rain or Shine 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper was adhered to a mat in Basic White cardstock and this unit was then adhered to a 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Mango Melody cardstock. The hand cut “hill” was adhered to the bottom of this unit. I used my paper snips to cut between the paws of the sitting bunny and adhered one of the fussy cut carrots between the bunny’s paws. The bunnies were then adhered to this panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the second carrot was tucked behind the grass hill between the bunnies.

A card base measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ was cut from Mango Melody cardstock and scored on the long edge at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″. The bottom of the decorated bunny panel was adhered to the front bottom of the card base.

A panel of the same Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper flower print was adhered to the inside of the card. On a white panel measuring 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ I stamped grass along the bottom edge and used an Old Olive Stampin’ Blend to color in the blades of grass. Two butterflies were stamped on this panel and also colored with Stampin’ Blends in So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie. This white panel was adhered to the inside of the card towards the top.

Using the Stylish Shapes Dies set, I cut one large and one small sentiment label from white cardstock using the larger of the four label dies included in the set. I stamped the sentiment “Enjoy all the little moments” onto the smaller labels and “Happy Easter” onto the larger label using Mango Melody ink. The small sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the label was placed towards the upper left of the card front. The larger sentiment label was placed on the inside of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This label becomes the “stop” for the easel portion of the card and was positioned towards the bottom of the inside of the card and centered right to left.

The envelope front was decorated with grass and a butterfly and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was added to the envelope front. I tied a small bow using white Baker’s twine and placed the bow on one of the bunnies. Multiple yellow Loose Frosted Dots were added to the card front to finish off the card.

This was a fun card to put together and it’s a great card for the little ones! You can view a pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the link below.
