It’s Thursday and it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Be sure to hop around to all of the blogs in the Hop today for some great inspiration!
I created my card for today using the Petal Park Bundle, Sentimental Park Stamp Set and the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder plus a little bit of watercoloring!

We have a sketch challenge for today’s Hop. How did I do?

To start I second generation stamped the flower image from the Petal Park Stamp Set onto a Highland Heather panel using Gorgeous Grape ink. The Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder was used to dry emboss the panel and then the panel was adhered to the front of a card base in Garden Green.
Using clean water, I completely wet several pieces of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and dropped Gorgeous Grape ink onto one panel and Garden Green ink onto the other panel then used a Water Painter to spread the ink around on the paper surface. The color variations on the watercolor paper will provide an organic look to the flowers and leaves. The paper was allowed to fully dry before using the detailed flower and leaf stamps from the Petal Park Stamp Set to stamp onto the watercolored surfaces. The Petal Park Builder Punch was then used to punch out flowers and leaves. Below is what the watercolor paper looks like before stamping the detailed images and punching them out. It looks messy, I know, but it makes for some pretty flowers and leaves!

A sentiment from the Sentimental Park Stamp Set was stamped onto a sentiment label measuring 2-1/2″ x 1″ and the label was matted to a piece of Fresh Freesia Fine Shimmer Paper. Two short lengths of Garden Green ribbon were adhered to the center of the card front, allowing the ribbon ends to hang down. The sentiment label was adhered over top of the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flower petals on the watercolored flowers were curled up on the edges to provide a little more dimension. I then arranged the flowers around the sentiment label and adhered them with small drops of glue to the card front. The leaves were then tucked under the flowers and adhered to the card.

The three-flower image and leaf stamps from the Petal Park Stamp Set were used to stamp flowers and leaves onto the inside panel. The panel was then adhered to a mat in Highland Heather and this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

The same three-flower image and leaf were also stamped onto the envelope front and envelope flap. Glossy Dots in purple were added to the flower centers on the card front and several more were adhered directly to the card front.
I love the purple flowers and bright green of this card as it reminds me of wild violets surrounded by new spring grass…so cheerful!
