Stampin’ Up! Best Day Birthday Card

Check out this cool cat sending the best of birthday wishes! I created this card using the Best Day Stamp Set and the Dandy Designs 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. Before we get into today’s card…Happy Friday! It’s been a very long week and I am extremely grateful for the weekend! How about you?

I started off by adhering a wide strip of the polka dot Dandy Designs paper to a mat in Fresh Freesia. A length of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon was wrapped around the middle of this panel, and I adhered the ends to the back of the card using Tear & Tape. The panel was then adhered to the card front.

Using the Layering Circles Dies I die cut the largest scalloped circle from Basic White cardstock. I stamped the cat and cupcake image onto the circle and used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. The circle was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals overtop of the wrapped ribbon and to the right.

A sentiment was stamped onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and I fussy cut the image using my paper snips. The sentiment was adhered to the lower right of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A short length of ribbon was folded in half and I used Mini Glue Dots to tuck this ribbon under the circle on the right.

An additional sentiment was stamped on the inside panel in Granny Apple Green ink. I stamped the confetti image multiple times above the sentiment on the panel. The panel was then adhered to a Fresh Freesia mat, then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

Confetti was stamped onto the lower corner of the envelope front and a coordinating piece of Designer Series Paper was adhered to the envelope flap. I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope. Several Balmy Blue Iridescent Gems were adhered to the card front and this completes the card!

This card was very quick to put together and the cute images from the Best Day Stamp Set are sure to bring a smile to the recipient’s face!
