Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Are you ready to hop around and see some great projects?

I created my card for today using the Dainty Delight Stamp Set, Dainty Delight Dies, Framed Florets Dies and paper from Country Floral Lane 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

We have a color challenge for today’s Hop! I used all five of the colors in my project.

I started off with a card base in Mint Macaron measuring 7-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ which was scored at 3-1/4″. The front of this card is only 3-1/4″ wide compared to the standard 4-1/4″, allowing about an inch of the inside of the card to peek through!

The Petal Pink print from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper pack was chosen to cover the front and inside left panel of the card. I cut these panels to 5-3/8″ x 3-1/8″ and adhered the panels into place. A strip of paper from the Country Floral Lane pack was cut to 5-3/8″ x 7/8″ and was glued to the inside right panel of the card and peeks through to the front of the card.

One of the oval frames from the Framed Florets Dies was used to cut out an frame and insert using Basic White cardstock. Using the larger foral image from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set, I stamped this image onto the frame insert using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then used Stampin’ Blends in Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow and Balmy Blue to color in the image. The frame was adhered to the card front and positioned towards the top of the card to allow for a sentiment label to sit below the frame. The colored insert was adhered to the inside of this frame.

Using small scraps of Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Balmy Blue and Mossy Meadow cardstock I die cut a multiple flowers and leaves using dies from the Dainty Delight Dies set. The flowers were first dry fit around the oval frame, then adhered to the upper right and lower left of the frame. The small flowers in Sweet Sorbet were popped up on the frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then tucked in a few Mossy Meadow leaves around the flowers.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock measuring 2-3/4″ x 3/4″ using Mint Macaron ink. The sentiment was stamped towards the right side and I cut a banner end on the left side of the label. I then adhered the sentiment label to the card front lining up the right edge of the label with the right edge of the card front.

One of the floral images was stamped onto the inside panel using Memento ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends in Sweet Sorbet and Mossy Meadow. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card. The same stamp was used to stamp onto the front of the envelope front and colored in with Sweet Sorbet and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends.

To finish off the card, I adhered Rhinestones to the flower centers on the card front. A Dragonfly Trinket was added to the oval insert and double bow using white Baker’s Twine was added to the upper left of the oval frame on the card front. A coordinating piece of Petal Pink designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope.

The delicate flower images in the Dainty Delight Bundle work well with the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper and I love how all of the colors in the challenge work together – providing a soft, romantic look to the card. I hope you enjoyed my card for the Hop today…I had fun creating it for you!

    1. Thank you, Julie! Repeats most likely due to it being a color challenge. Terry Lynn and I were on the same wavelength and used the same card fold. It happens sometimes. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
