What’s better than making a quick and easy card? Why, making six quick and easy cards! I used the Dainty Flowers 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to make today’s card. You will find the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper in the upcoming January-February 2023 Sale-a-bration Catalog. This paper will be available to earn for free with a qualifying order beginning this week on January 5! I also used the Dainty Delight Stamp Set for the sentiment and this stamp set will be available for customer orders from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog beginning on January 5!
I plan and design my cards for the week a few days ahead of time so that I have ideas ready to share with all of you. One of my team members shared this same card on her blog yesterday. Another card I’ll be sharing with you tomorrow – a fun fold – was shared by another team member a few days ago on her Live video. She used the same fold I’ll be sharing. It happens! We don’t consult with each other on our card designs…that would take way more coordination than any of us has time for. It makes me chuckle, though, when it happens!
I chose the piece of paper from the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper pack that has six floral wreaths. I then cut the 12″ x 12″ piece of paper at 4″. I then trimmed the floral oval panel down until I had an equal distance of white space all around the wreath. This left me with a panel size of 4-7/8″ x 3-3/4″. This is not a “standard” size panel that you might typically use on a card front, but I wanted to have an equal distance of white space around the wreath…hence the odd measurement.
I used the Dainty Delight Stamp Set for my greeting on the DSP panel and stamped the greeting in Starry Sky ink in the middle of the floral oval. The DSP panel was then matted to a piece of Starry Sky cardstock and this unit was then adhered to the front of a card base in Fresh Freesia using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the panel was centered top to bottom and left to right.
On the inside white panel I used the Queen Anne’s Lace stamp from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set and stamped this image on the lower right in Old Olive ink. I then second-generation stamped the same image to the right of the first stamped image, then reinked the stamp, stamped off onto a scrap piece of paper, then second-generation stamped onto the panel to the left of the first image stamped. The inside panel was matted to a piece of Starry Sky cardstock and this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.
The same flower image was stamped onto the envelope front. A piece of Fresh Freesia polka dot print from the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper pack was used for the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope.
A double bow was tied using Linen Thread and adhered to the oval floral frame using a Mini Glue Dot. Several Opaque Adhesive-backed Gems were also added to the card front to finish the card.
I love that Stampin’ Up! gives us such great options when they design their papers! The one sheet of paper from the Dainty Flowers DSP pack will make six cards. You can make the cards up and reserve stamping any sentiments until you know what kind of card you will need! Of course you’ll want to hold off on adhering the floral oval panel to the card front until a sentiment is stamped…but you can pretty much have all of the other card pieces in place and ready to go.
