Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature Anniversary Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Join me on the Hop today to see some creative inspiration from my team members!

For today’s Hop I used the Ringed With Nature Stamp Set, Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and the Tree Rings Dies along with some of the beautiful paper from the Painted Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper Pack to create this anniversary card.

We have a sketch challenge for today’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop, so this is my interpretation of the sketch.

I started off by adhering a piece of the leaf print designer series paper to a mat in Evening Evergreen then adhered this to a Crumb Cake card base. A tree ring was die cut in Crumb Cake cardstock using the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and Tree Rings Dies. A blending brush was used to blend Soft Suede ink around the edges of the embossed tree ring to give it a more realistic look.

The house, roof, and heart images from the Ringed With Nature Stamp Set were stamped onto white cardstock and fussy cut. The leaf and branch images were die cut using dies from the Tree Rings Dies set then colored with Stampin’ Blends. The die cut images were adhered to the tree ring using glue and the house was adhered to the tree ring using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The heart was adhered to the house just below the chimney. The tree ring was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of scrap white cardstock and die cut using one of the banner dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. The sentiment was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied a double bow using Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine and adhered the bow to the card front using a Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the three-leaf image from the Ringed With Nature Stamp Set in Pear Pizzaz ink in the lower right and upper left corners of the inside panel. This panel was then adhered to an Evening Evergreen mat and the unit was adhered to the inside of the card. The same three-leaf image was stamped on the envelope front.

A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope. To finish off the card I adhered red Festive Pearls to the berries on the twig adorning the card front.

This completes my card for today. If you’d like to recreate this card, click on the image below for a pdf tutorial.
