It’s time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! The theme this month is “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays” and we can interpret this any way that we’d like. I expect you’ll see a lot of gorgeous creations from my team members in the Hop today!
I pulled out the Decorated with Happiness Bundle to create my card. I just love the pretty pine boughs and ornaments in this set!
Admittedly, I got a little carried away with the number of products I used on this card, but a girl just has to do what a girl has to do!
I started by adhering a piece of the Snowflake Specialty Vellum to a base in Basic White Thick cardstock. I then used Silver Foil and die cut the ornate frame from the Framed Florets Dies set and an ornament from the Decorated Pine Dies set. While die cutting, I also die cut two pine boughs from the Decorated Pine Dies set and a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
The silver ornate frame was adhered to the center of the card front. I used a short piece of silver Simply Elegant Trim and looped the trim through the loop at the top of the die cut ornament then adhered the ornament in the center of the oval frame. The ends of the trim were secured to the top of the oval frame using Mini Glue Dots. The pine boughs were trimmed down, and I adhered one to the top left and right of the oval frame.
The sentiment “Christmas greetings” was stamped in Real Red ink onto the die cut white circle, and the sentiment label was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals to the lower right of the card. To finish off the card front, I tied a bow using Real Red ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack. The bow was adhered to the top of the oval frame and the ends were trimmed flush to the card sides.
The large pine bough image from the Decorated with Happiness Stamp Set was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink at the top of the inside panel as well as the envelope front. An additional sentiment was also stamped onto the inside panel in Real Red ink just below and to the right of the pine bough. The panel was matted to a piece of Real Red then adhered to the inside of the card.
A piece of 2021-2023 In Color Designer Series Paper was added to the envelope flap in an Evening Evergreen dotted pattern and I trimmed around the flap to finish up the card.
I had a lot of fun creating this card and I just love all of the sparkle and touches of red…it is a very festive card!
