Happy Friday! My cards this week have focused on simple stamping, so I thought I’d mix things up a little bit for today. I created a mountain landscape watercolor and added the beautiful pine tree image from the Campology Stamp Set to create today’s card. This makes for a great masculine card!
I started off with a panel of Fluid 100 Watercolor paper and used Starry Sky ink for the mountains and a combination of Early Espresso and Starry Sky for the ground. The pine tree image from the Campology Stamp Set was stamped in Evening Evergreen and I painted in some additional color using Evening Evergreen to darken some areas of the pine trees. A weak mixture of Early Espresso was used to paint in the tree trunks. A sentiment from the Heron Habitat Stamp Set was used on the card front.
An additional sentiment from the Heron Habitat Stamp Set was used on the inside panel and I stamped the pine tree image from the Campology Stamp Set as well before adhering this panel to the inside of the card.
The same pine tree image was stamped onto the envelope front and envelope flap. I used Stampin’ Blends in Soft Succulent and Crumb Cake to add a bit more color to the stamped images.
I love painting watercolor backgrounds and I hope you’ll give this one a try. You’ll find instructions on how to create this card on the linked pdf document. Click on the image below to access the pdf tutorial.
Wishing you an enjoyable weekend! I’ll be back on Monday with another card project. Unit then, stay crafty!

oh wowza, Carol…..that is a beautiful card…….but simple?? Maybe the trees are simple…..but that background?? It would be a challenge for me…..water color isn’t something I’ve mastered…..maybe you need to teach a class….??
