Stampin’ Up! Brightest Glow Merry Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We have a theme challenge for the Hop today. I can’t wait to see what everyone has created!

I pulled out the Brightest Glow Stamp Set, Christmas Banners Stamp Set and my pack of Sweetest Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create today’s card.

The theme challenge for today is “Christmas”.

Nothing says Christmas like red and green and lots of pine boughs! I started off with a card base in Real Red and topped that with a piece of paper from the Sweetest Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper in a Garden Green dotted pattern.

The pine bough stamp from the Christmas Banners Stamp Set was used to repeatedly stamp on a 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ white panel. I stamped all around the perimeter of the panel. Some of the pine boughs were second-generation stamped to create different shades of green. The panel looks a bit messy at this point, but the center will be covered by the sentiment label!

The stamped panel was matted to a piece of Real Red cardstock and then adhered to the center of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the “Merry Christmas” sentiment onto the sentiment label then matted the sentiment label to a piece of Real Red cardstock and adhered this to the center of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

An additional sentiment was stamped on the inside panel, and I also stamped the pine bough image on this panel as well.

The pine bough image was added to the envelope front and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was added to the envelope flap and I trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope.

Because every card should have a little sparkle, I added a white glittered organdy bow to the card front and a few red rhinestones! I love the traditional red and green on this card!

I hope you enjoyed my card for today! If you’d like to recreate this card, click on the image below for a pdf tutorial.
