Stampin’ Up! Happier Than Happy Swing Fun Fold Welcome Baby Card

Happy Friday! I hope you all have had an enjoyable and productive week!

This simple and sweet swing fun fold Welcome Baby card was created using the Happier Than Happy Bundle and Happy Forest Friends 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. You can’t help but smile when creating with this bundle and designer series paper – the images are so much fun and perfect for a baby card! This fun fold is a CASE from http://www.stampingwithamore.com.

I started with a card base in Calypso Coral measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″. I used the second to largest scalloped circle die from the Layering Circles Dies to die cut a 1/2 circle on the 2-1/8″ score line using my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Detailed instructions are included in the project sheet linked below on how to die cut this 1/2 circle. Once the 1/2 circle was die cut, I adhered a full circle in Calypso Coral cardstock to the back of the 1/2 cut circle on the inside of the card.

Two additional circles were die cut from Basic White cardstock. The sentiment “hello, baby” was stamped in Calypso Coral ink on the first circle and then decorated with several stamped and die cut images from the Happier Than Happy Bundle. This circle was then adhered to the front of the card, lining up the full circle with the 1/2 circle cut into the card base.

For the second circle, I stamped the sentiment “Welcome” in Calypso Coral ink then applied a temporary adhesive to the front of this circle (the stamped side), and temporarily adhered this circle to the back of the 1/2 circle. Glue was applied to the back of the full circle then the card was closed and the second circle was adhered to the inside of the card. The inside sentiment lines up with the outside sentiment and is not visible when the card is fully closed. I then carefully separated the front of the inside circle and removed the temporary adhesive. The inside circle was then decorated with a pine tree, mushroom and cute little owl.

The envelope front was decorated with a stamped pine tree and mushroom and I adhered a piece of coordinating DSP to the envelope flap.

I was a little intimidated to try this fun fold but, in all honesty, it was very easy! I hope you’ll give it a try!

Wishing everyone a great weekend! Stay crafty!
