Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship Thank You Card for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge Using the Two-Timing Technique

A team member recently shared this card on our team Facebook page (thank you Jan!).  This card is a CASE of a card that Tami White (stampwithtami.com) shared in a YouTube video some time ago.  I thought the card was so lovely that I just had to recreate it!

Below is this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge. This is my first time entering this challenge! For the challenge I selected the center row down – Orange/Rust, Free, and Layers.

I do not own the stamp set that was originally used in Tami White’s card, but I dug through my sets and pulled out the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set. This card uses the Two-Timing Technique, and minimal supplies! This would make a great card for almost any occasion and would be suitable for both male and female.

I started by temporarily adhering a Very Vanilla panel measuring 4-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ to a larger Very Vanilla panel measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″. The smaller panel was placed approximately 1″ from the top of the larger panel. I used the tree image and stamped across both of the panels in Early Espresso ink, making sure that the image extended onto the larger panel at the top.

The panels were separated, and I adhered the larger Very Vanilla panel to a card base cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Using the small, dotted stamp from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set, I repeatedly stamped Daffodil Delight ink around the tree then tapered the stamping off to the right of the tree to give the impression of leaves blowing in the wind. I repeated this process two more times using Pumpkin Pie ink and Cherry Cobbler ink.

The stamped panel was adhered to a Cherry Cobbler mat, then this unit was adhered to the card front while making sure that the tree image on the two panels was lined up. I just love the Two-Timing Technique! It creates such visual interest!

A “Thank you” sentiment was stamped onto the lower right of the card front in Early Espresso ink and several Rustic Metallic Dots were added to either side of this sentiment.

For the inside panel I repeated stamping of the tree and leaves and adhered this panel to the inside of the card. The same stamping was applied to the envelope front and envelope flap.

Have a wonderful week!
