Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly Holiday Card

I have another holiday card for you today. This card is a little more involved than yesterday’s card, but it still comes together quickly once all of the stamping and die cutting is completed!

I have been holding off on sharing the Leaves of Holly Bundle with you because the bundle went out of stock…but, it’s back in stock now. If you like what you see, I highly recommend you order the bundle and paper before it’s gone again! I think you’ll agree this bundle makes for some beautiful holiday cards!

I started with a card base of Mossy Meadow. Half of the card front was covered with a panel of the gorgeous Boughs of Holly 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, and the other half of the card front was covered with a panel of embossed white cardstock. This panel was embossed using the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder (this embossing folder includes two patterns – pine needles and snowflakes).

I stamped two of the small holly leaves and two of the large holly leaves from the Leaves of Holly Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow and Evening Evergreen ink then used the coordinating dies from the Holly Berry Dies set to die cut. Several pine needles were also die cut using dies from the same set. These were die cut in Evening Evergreen and Pear Pizzazz cardstocks.

The Holly Berry Dies also includes a beautiful sentiment label with holly leaves. This intricate die cuts a thin border around the sentiment label which means that if you wanted to pop the sentiment label up with Stampin’ Dimensionals you would need to do some very fine scissor cutting on the Stampin’ Dimensionals in order to hold this thin border up, or you could simply adhere the sentiment label directly to the card front without using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I went a different route (it’s my specialty…what can I say). I adhered the sentiment label to a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock then fussy cut around the sentiment label. There is already a die to cut a background for the holly berries on the sentiment label, so I only added a piece of cardstock behind the label. This allowed me to pop up the sentiment label using dimensionals.

The die cut holly leaves and pine needles, along with some stamped and die cut berries and a few Gold Holly Leaves were dry fit around the sentiment label and adhered with either liquid glue or Mini Glue Dots. I also looped a length of gold Simply Elegant Trim and tucked this under the sentiment label as well. A few gold Festive Pearls were added to finish off the card front.

The inside of the white card panel was stamped with an additional sentiment and a narrow piece of coordinating DSP was added to the side of this panel, then the panel was matted onto a piece of Real Red cardstock and adhered to the inside of the card. The envelope flap was also decorated with a piece of coordinating DSP and the envelope front was stamped with holly leaves.

And this completes today’s card. I will be using this bundle to make a lot of holiday cards for sure! So beautiful! You can find the Boughs of Holly Suite in the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog.
