The Wisteria Wishes Stamp Set makes beautiful wisteria blossoms hanging down from their vines, but did you know that when you turn the wisteria blossom stamps upside down they become pine trees? I have been anxiously awaiting the time I could show you this stamp set’s alternative use!
Today’s card features the Wisteria Wishes Stamp Set for a simple, quick, and easy card that you can put together for the holidays.
I started with a card base in Evening Evergreen and adhered a Soft Succulent mat to the card front. Who else loves these two colors together? A panel of Basic White cardstock was embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder then adhered to the card front – on top of the Soft Succulent mat.
A square of white cardstock was used to ink blend a “snow” hill onto the cardstock. I used Post It notes to mask off the hill and then blended in Starry Sky ink using blending brushes. I then used the 3-image wisteria blossom stamp and stamped pine trees first in Soft Succulent ink making sure that the base of the pine trees sat on the “snow hill” (the white area). I stamped the same image again, dropping the stamp a little lower. I then came back with the single wisteria blossom stamp and stamped over the trees in Evening Evergreen ink. The wisteria stamps make beautiful pine trees!
From the ink blended and stamped piece of cardstock I used one of the circle dies from the Layering Circles Dies set to die cut a partial scene. I also die cut a mat for this circle in Evening Evergreen using a slightly larger scalloped circle die.
A chose a sentiment from the Trees for Sale Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock. The sentiment was die cut using the Layering Circles dies again, and an Evening Evergreen scalloped circle was added as a mat.
Both the sentiment label and the pine tree circle were adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment was placed in the upper left of the card front and the pine trees circle was placed in the lower right of the card front. A double bow was tied using Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and adhered between the two circle groupings with a Mini Glue Dot. Several green Festive Pearls were also adhered to the card front.
For the inside of the card, I again masked the inside of the card using Post It Notes and blended in a Starry Sky. The pine trees were stamped using Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. The inside panel was adhered to a Soft Succulent mat then adhered to the inside of the card. The envelope front and envelope flap were also ink blended and stamped with pine trees (wisteria blossoms).

Multiple cards with this design could be made quickly by simply expanding the size of white cardstock that you ink blend and stamp, allowing you to cut multiple circles of the ink blended background and pine trees! This design would also make a wonderful winter birthday card for either a male or female. Maybe leave the bow off if giving to a male or replace the ribbon with twine or linen thread.
I hope you enjoy this card project! I know I had fun creating it and it was so easy to put together!
