botanical layers on vellum

I don’t usually work with vellum, so I created two vellum panels using different techniques to see what I could come up with. I shared the two panels recently on my Facebook Page to ask viewers which panel they preferred. The replies were a mixed result. I’m using the blended ink panel today in my project and you’ll see the other vellum panel later in the week (it’s wild!).
After creating the ink blended vellum panel, I stamped directly onto the panel using images from the Botanical Layers stamp set…with surprising results! I was impressed with how the Parakeet Party ink popped on the blended panel! I’m not sure if you can get a good look from the photo, but the result was really interesting looking…in a good way.
What do you see when you look at the above image? Do you see a garden at night, or do you see an underwater scene? I was going for the garden look but when I showed the card to my husband he saw an underwater scene. As they say, “it’s all in the eye of the beholder.”
Most of the products used to make this card will be available for customer orders beginning on May 3, 2022…yay! To view, download or print a copy of the project sheet for this card, click on the icon below.
Products used in this project which are available now for ordering can be found at the end of this blog post.
