This card uses the Grassy Grove Bundle to create a pretty landscape card that would be great to give to a guy, gal or teen. Ink blending, coloring and die cutting were primarily used to create this card and the end result creates a bright and uplifting image!

This crashing wave is displayed gallery-style on the card front. This is a super easy card to make and requires limited supplies. Read on…
I first stamped the wave image directly onto a piece of Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper, cut to approximately 4″ x 5″, then quartered, mounted on white cardstock, then mounted on a Coastal Cabana mat. This was then adhered to the Night of Navy card base. A sentiment label was added, and a little bling from the Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels. The inside of the card features the same DSP and a pelican perched on pilings and the card is complete!

This double Z fold card is bringing Easter greetings with butterflies and flowers in purple and pretty spring greenery. Heart & Home Designer Series Paper provides the background.
The card is composed of two card bases and provides three panels to show off favorite die cuts. The rear card base was cut from Highland Heather cardstock with DSP mats and the front card base was also cut from Highland Heather cardstock with Basic White mats. The sentiment label was also matted. Die cuts from the Meadows Dies provided the flowers, greenery and butterflies.

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you have some really fun plans for the weekend.
Do you know any newlyweds or new parents? How about a son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter who is moving from home into their new place? If so, why not gift them some of your favorite quick and easy recipes and present them in this box!
I became a great aunt recently. My nephew and his wife just brought a beautiful baby boy into the world, and it got me thinking about when my sons were young…life was extremely hectic! How great would it be to surprise a young couple or a child moving out with some recipes that they can fix quickly to help answer the question…what’s for dinner? Of course, you’ll want a really cool way to present the recipes. That’s where this pretty little slim box comes in.
This box is made from one sheet of cardstock. The top of the box was decorated with a piece of designer series paper, a gift tag with an embossed greeting and pretty flowers and a ribbon to keep the box securely closed. When working up this box I first made a 3″ x 5″ size, but then realized that pre-printed recipe cards are larger so I came up with this box that will easily hold a 4″ x 6″ recipe card. You should be able to fit at least 10+ recipe cards in this box.
This box doesn’t have to just be for recipes, though. Depending on how you decorate the box, would depend on who you are gifting it to. You could make up a matching game on index cards, for example, and gift to a child. Or, another use might be to gift some photos to a friend. The possibilities are endless and one reason why I like these little boxes so much.
Step by step instructions can be found by clicking here. I have also included the cutting and scoring instructions in case you want to make the 3″ x 5″ box. Included at the bottom of the project sheet is a link to my online store if you would like to purchase the supplies to make this project, or you can click on the “Shop with me” button located at the top right of the page.
Continuing with the tropical theme today, this card worked up quickly and uses some sizzling colors of Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya against an Evening Evergreen background. The Artfully Layered bundle and Artfully Composed Designer Series Paper were used to create this card.
I started with an Evening Evergreen card base. A piece of Calypso Coral DSP was used, followed by a Pale Papaya DSP which was stamped all over with small tropical leaves in the same color. Two second-generation stamped larger tropical leaves were stamped in Evening Evergreen. Several tropical fronds were die cut from Evening Evergreen and arranged and adhered to the center of the card. A piece of Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave ribbon was adhered on the lower half of the card and the layers were mounted to the card base.
A Calypso Coral tropical leaf was die cut to be used as a sentiment label. The sentiment was stamped in Evening Evergreen and the label was adhered over top of the fronds using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Several jewels were added to the sentiment label, and this completes the card.
You can find the project sheet for this card by clicking here. You’ll find a link to my online store at the bottom of the project sheet if you’d like to purchase the products used to make this project, or you can click on the “Shop with me” button located at the top right of the page.
Be sure to check back in tomorrow as I have another Friday Fun Day project lined up that I think you won’t want to miss! I’ll give you a clue…it’s something you can make for new parents, newlyweds, or a son or daughter who is moving out on their own. That’s all I can say for now. Any guesses? Put your comments down below. Hope to see you tomorrow!
Watercolor wet in wet technique – sunset with palm tree
You can almost feel the tropical breeze in this watercolor sunset! This watercolor background uses the wet in wet technique which is surprisingly easy.
This card sits on a Misty Moonlight card base and the colors used in the sunset include Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight. A little stamping and die cutting complete the card. If you’ve never given this watercolor technique a try, I recommend that you do. No two watercolors will be alike and that’s what makes this such a wonderful technique. Your sunset sky will be unique and all your own!
If you’d like to give this technique a try you can find step by step instructions by clicking here for the project sheet. A link is included at the bottom of the project sheet to my online store where you can purchase the products you will need to recreate this card. Give it a try…I promise you’ll have fun!

With a pretty bow in her hair, this adorable bunny is patiently waiting in a patch of tulips and is all dressed up and ready for Easter!
I used the Easter Friends stamp set to stamp the bunny in Crumb Cake ink, then colored and fussy cut the bunny. Soft Suede ink and a Blender Pen were used to darken certain areas on the bunny. The Flowering Rain Boots stamp set was used to stamp the tulips and stems in Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green inks, respectively. The Fresh Freesia print from the Heart & Home DSP completes the backdrop. Isn’t she adorable! Tulips and stems were also stamped on the envelope front as well as on the inside mat for the card.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Those weekends sure do fly by!
The featured card for today uses only three colors – Very Vanilla, Polished Pink and Mossy Meadow – and works up quickly when you don’t have a lot of time for fussy techniques!
The leaves, greeting and flower image come from the Boughs & Blossoms stamp set which you can find in the current Mini Catalog. A 3D embossing folder was used to add some texture to the Mossy Meadow panel. The stamped leaves from the same stamp set were fussy cut and the card is ready for assembly. Add a Polished Pink and an Opal Round colored with a Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend and the card is complete.

Happy Friday, everyone! I don’t know about you, but it’s been a long week and I’m ready for some R & R. I have another fun project for you today that I dreamed up when I first saw the Flowering Rain Boots bundle. Why not make a pouch that would hold a seed packet that you could gift to your green-thumbed friends? So, that’s just what I did! I’ll be honest with you…when I was figuring out the measurements for this project, I had a few failures that I had to toss (not to worry…my trial projects were plain copy paper…not the good stuff!). The end product, I think, turned out well.
As mentioned, I used the Flowering Rain Boots stamps and dies for the pouch and pull-out tag. I selected Calypso Coral cardstock which coordinates with the Pansy Petals designer series paper. The inks I used include Pumpkin Pie, Mossy Meadow, Bumblebee and Soft Succulent and the ribbon is in Soft Succulent. The overall look screams SPRING! How fun will it be to surprise your gardening friends with this special gift?
You can find the project sheet by clicking here. A link is included at the bottom of the project sheet if you’d like to visit my online store to purchase the products for this project, or you can click on the “Stamp with me” button at the top right of the screen.
Wishing you a great weekend. Stay crafty!
