New Horizons Card #1 – Flowering Meadow

I’m focusing all this week on cards made from the New Horizons 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. This beautiful paper features landscape watercolor scenes that, very honestly, can stand all on their own they are that beautiful! Each card showcased this week can be made quickly and simply.

Today’s card depicts a flower meadow with distant green hills. The card sits on an Evening Evergreen mat, with a piece of the DSP used as a sentiment label which is also matted in Evening Evergreen. The sentiment for this card came from the Pansy Patch stamp set. I did not use any other embellishments on this card as none are needed. On the inside of the card, I used a 1″ strip of coordinating DSP on the bottom mat and used a sponge dauber to lightly blend Pale Papaya ink around the edges of this mat.
