Friends are like seashells

No card project yesterday as I had another commitment, but we’re back today with a brand-new card project!

Today’s card features the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle as well as the wonderful Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper which is a FREE Sale-A-Bration Item through February 28, 2022. This paper is beautiful and features eight sheets of six different patterns/colors. The paper is reversable and one side looks like marble, while the opposite side lends itself more to background seascape or landscape use. Did I already say it’s beautiful? You definitely need to check it out!

I was trying to come up with a different card design for this card rather than a standard fold card. Success! This card features a piece of Misty Moonlight that measures 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ for the card base – no score line. The card front is a piece of Basic White measuring 5-1/4″ x 7″ and scored at 3″. This fold reveals 1″ of the bottom inside of the card. We’ll be gluing a piece of the DSP onto this 1″ space, as well as gluing down a piece of coordinating DSP that measures 3″ x 5-1/4″ onto the front of the card. These are the only cuts required for this card, with the exception of one die cut.

I die cut the largest die from this bundled set and fussy cut several of the grass images from this die cut. I also stamped one of the seashell images from the set and fussy cut this image. Some additional stamping, a little gluing, the use of Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the seashell and sentiment, and the addition of some Opal Rounds (for bubbles!) and the card is complete!

I love the way the card turned out…making me long for warmer weather…again! This card design would be suitable for male, female, or anyone who loves the beach.
